  1. AU Tax - print return with option to exlude table items from worksheets

    Update from Xero function in Xero Tax imports all ledger items into the worksheets in the financial disclosure section which looks untidy and provides too much information when presenting to the client. A good option would be if we could summarise these items in the worksheets, which would be far more presentable.

  2. We would like to be able to hide or remove the Xero sample letter templates as an option in the Tax Payments page. We would like to remove them so that tax admin staff don't accidentally use those templates instead of our custom branded templates.

  4. Provide the ability to import/refresh the clients refund bank account number held with IRD into the Tax Return. Currently seems like we are having to manually enter it on the tax return. MYOB has this functionality and it's great, saves time and typos.

  5. Our existing tax software has a summary page that is automatically generated and goes alongside the CT600 that includes the payment amount, due date, bank details to use and payment reference. I.e. a perfect 1 page summary to give to the client so they know what to pay.
    It would be great if Xero Tax could incorporate this into their solution so that the payment details don't have to be sent to the client separately.

  7. A way to post partially dormant accounts when moving from trading to dormant within a tax year. Currently in Xero Tax, you'd have to choose between the options 'Active throughout part of the period for corporation tax purposes' where you can only choose when the company started trading. The other option you could select is 'Dormant throughout the period for corporation tax purposes' and then choose the option 'Company has traded in previous period, tax return is required'.

    Both options will allow you to create a CT600, however there isn't an option to choose when the company ceased trading or…

  8. As an accountant I use a trial balance for every file I open.
    Can the trial balance be set as a standard report/ automatically added to favourites in the accounting option or each user be able to chose a standard group of favourite reports for all clients - Pain having to go into each new file i access and add to my favourites.

  10. It would be great if there was an option to change staff permissions in bulk. So if there was a practice employee for example who now needed Payroll Admin access for 20 clients, it could be done in a few clicks as opposed to changing it for each of those 20 clients.

  12. Xero Tax UK. Please could you add in the option for estimated figures as well as provisional figures as they are not the same thing!

    There is a distinction between estimated figures and provisional figures on a UK SA tax return. Currently, Xero UK SA Tax only has the option for provisional figures which means that you will come back and revisit the tax return.

    We also need the option for estimated figures which are your best and final estimate so no intention to revisit the software. Other UK tax software has this!

  13. After the recent XPM change where a user can allocate staff to multiple jobs from the Jobs menu, the staff at the Task level are added but the checkbox is not ticked. This means that the staff member can see the job in their timesheet, but not the tasks associated with that job, so cannot book time.

    Support have advised they are aware this has changed and do not have a solution to get around this currently, other than manually going into each job and filling the tick box for each staff member for each task. As we create and…

  14. It would be ideal if the "Write On Amount" fields in WIP Ledger reporting within XPM are made available in the API. We leverage multiple systems that need to tack together a formula to measure write offs using the available fields in the API, or cannot include Write On information, so is often inaccurate.

  15. I love the function of being able to import data from a Xero file/ledger directly into a Xero tax.

    However, it seems that you can only import date to 30 June. It doesn't appear to be able to import for a substituted accounting period.

    It would be helpful to be able to select the period to import.

  16. In the last week the ability to add multiple tasks to new employees has been taken away, you can still add all jobs but without the ability to add all tasks or some as well that feature is now useless.

    please can you tell me why this has been removed and bring it back asap. I have staff unable to complete time sheets at the moment.

  17. I would love to see an improvement with Xero XPM NOTES.

    We seem to leave 2 types of notes.

    TYPE 1: is URGENT, we want people within the firm to see it and read it. It would be good if you could select this note to be a banner across the top of the clients screen. Similar to how if the client has a debt it shows at the top. (love that function)

    TYPE 2: is just an ordinary note that is sufficient with the current design.

    It would also be great if you could share notes across multiple clients…

  18. I wanted to put a suggestion that when hubdoc is getting the totals, that they get the correct total and maybe even a prompt when it is unsure of the subtotal and total. I have had a few issues come up where hubdoc is bringing in the incorrect total.
