  2. It would be useful if a notification was sent when any document was uploaded. Currently, there are supplier level notifications but when there is something that has been uploaded (jpg, memo, etc) and the system is unable to identify it to a supplier it dumps it to the failed tab which at present does not create any notification.

  3. When we link XPM to Xero, we have to set up a code for Income. This is set to a default code (200 Sales) however we also use codes to differentiate income between Company Accounts, Personal Tax Returns, VAT work etc. Would it be possible to add something that allows us to select the code per job? Or alternatively to allow adding of tracking categories?

  4. Given the changes in the WFH deductions area, we have been looking at simple ways our accountants can log on their timesheets when they are WFH so that a simple report can be generated at year end to assist with their personal tax returns.

    We have added the custom field to the time entry where they can specify whether they are working off premises, at the office or from home.

    We have no way of making this a mandatory field and it only comes up when accessing the timesheet entry point of Dashboard -> Enter Time -> Daily

  5. It would be great if XPM had a little pop-out screen/app option for the quick timer that could sit in the corner of your screen, so you could quickly start/stop/edit your timer.

    Hi everyone, we’d like to confirm that GST F5 for foreign currency ledger is not something we have plans to develop at this time. We’re still interested to get a clearer understanding of users that’d like to see this developed for Singapore tax, and will continue to track this through the conversation here.

    In the meantime, for those who aren’t already aware, in a Singapore organisation users can access the GST Audit report which shows the base currency, FX value and Singapore dollar value information you’ll need to meet IRAS requirements.

    As the GST Audit report doesn’t show the gains and losses needed for IRAS reporting, you can use the Foreign Currency Gains and Losses report to see this information.

  8. Custom task rate - although the charge out rate can be amended for individual tasks for a member of staff, there is no "from" date that can be specified so it is applied to all un-invoiced WIP. It would therefore be very useful to be able to have the ability to put in a date from when the new rate should be applied.

  9. When completing employment earnings and benefits from Xero Payroll into Xero Tax, it would be really useful to have the two linked. This reduces repetitive tasks and reduces input error.

    Hi Michelle - thank you for raising. We can definitely see how this would help. I've checked with our Product team and this is something that is not currently on our immediate roadmap. However, we will continue to monitor this. In the meantime, we are in the process of adding integration with HMRC to pull employment data for all individuals.

  10. Being about to print multiple Tax Returns by selecting the box in Returns and having a print options, it would be amazing if you could also select to redact Tax file numbers or choose to print them.
    At the moment I need to print 17 today, I have to go into each individual client and select the tax return, select to print etc. It would save a lot of time being able to print multiples

  11. I'd like the ability to restrict who can see documents in Xero sign within the practice - then we can use it for all documents that need signing, including Staff contracts and other sensitive information that we don't necessarily want the whole team to be able to view.

  12. When accessing the Work In Progress from a client screen the column showing the job name is nowhere near wide enough to see the full description. The box in the centre containing all columns could also be made wider to fill the whole screen. See attached screenshot.

  13. When a business incorporates we cannot add the date of incorporation and therefore cannot print reports for the first year correctly without further work. For first year accounts can you look to make it so that we can have an extended first year

  14. MTD for ITSA
    Xero have been a bit quiet on the issue of MTD for ITSA. What is the suggested solution for ITSA? If the Xero plan is to charge the starter plan at £14/month (plus VAT) I think you will lose a lot of the market share. MTD for ITSA needs a simple £5/month solution for sole traders with ability to use expenses app for free. The costs of £14/month plus £2.50 for expenses is going to lose a lot of our clients to competitors like FreeAgent (which is free if you have an RBS/Natwest/Mettle account). Finding it hard…

    In terms of Xero plans, MTD for ITSA will be available on every plan. This means it'll be available on all business plans - Starter, Standard, Premium, but also all partner plans - Ledger, Cashbooks, Bureau, etc.

    Clients may also be interested in the new app Xero Go, a simple business tracking and data capture tool, which links to a Xero partner plan so you can see the data and manage ITSA filings.

  15. Adobe signatures option available to be able to remove the blue line, name and the date from the signature. It is unnecessary on most of the documents and looks odd.

  16. Ability to customise the mapping of the workpaper hotlinks!

    The hotlink feature in workpapers is pretty neat in that it will automatically link in the relevent reports however this could be even more powerful with some very minor teaks.

    Firstly the new style reports would be a good start for replacement but what would be even better then this is the ability to amend the hotlink reports for clients either on a by client or practise level... i.e. if we had the ability to link in customised reports instead of just having the transaction report linked in - I know…

It would be great to be able to see the balance owing once the BAS is submitted....have a client in credit and had to log on to my OSFA portal to check the running balance to let them know whether they had to make a payment yet. Would be great to get this data into Xero tax somehow. Anything that avoids us having to use the ATO portal is a great move

  18. Ability to become an affiliate if not a BAS agent or tax agent.

    I am a chartered accountant with a finance coaching and Virtual CFO company but I am not a BAS or tax agent. I use Xero, train clients on Xero and recommend Xero to all of my clients and would recommend there was an affiliate scheme without having to be a BAS or tax agent.

    Hi Lucy, to make sure I understand your idea here. When you say an affiliate would that be an affiliate to make use of AU Tax as a product or more broadly the Partner Program that Xero has for Practice users ? 

  19. I have a client family group with 4 people which lives at the same address and now they moved house, so I need to update their address in the system. Instead of updating the address for each individual, I am sure there is a way to prompt the system to detects this old address in XPM, it will then prompt me to change for all of them. I have seen this function when I was using the Solution 6 system about 15 years ago, so I am sure it is do-able.

    Just checking, the steps below are not applicable here?


    From our Change the address for all clients in a group article:


    1. Select Clients, then select the Groups tab.
    2. Click the name of the group, then click on one of the clients in the group.
    3. Click Options, then select Edit.
    4. Under Contact Details, edit the address details, then click Save.
    5. Click Update Related Clients' addresses
    6. (Optional) Click All Related Clients to filter related clients by relationships or group members. The filter only shows if the client has at least one relationship set up and is also a member of at least one group.
    7. Select the checkbox for each address you want to change, then click Update.

  20. Hubdoc allows you to download all documents in a folder, and Hubdoc also allows you to download to CSV some document metadata. It would be very useful if Hubdoc had the ability to download documents by folder or by Tag, and further, if Hubdoc had the ability to download the Tags associated with a document when downloading the metadata.
