Xero Sign - Ability to add a 'Date' field
When uploading a set of annual accounts to Xero Sign, the only option available is to add a signature field.
For company and trust annual accounts, we typically also include a minute and sometimes other resolutions (created from a Xero report pack). It would be great to able to insert a date field in the minute, like you can with other e-signing platforms.
The current workaround is to use another e-signing service to send the annual accounts, and use Xero Sign for the tax returns - which adds confusion for our clients and we're often having to chase them up…

Practice Manager | Actual time reports based on actual time (not rounded)
If you have your firm time billing set to round up then all of the reports - even actual time reports, report the rounded hours and not the actual minutes worked. This is really inaccurate and makes it really difficult for me to get a good gauge on employee billing and performance. Please look at amending any reports using a rounded time figure that should be actual time.
In addition and also critical to this issue XPM timesheets for payroll but I am also pretty certain that if you are using XPM timesheets for your payroll it pulls/exports the rounded…

XPM - Time Scanner & Tracking
Similar to Xero Receipt Scanner, but just for timesheets
A functionality (app) that can scan a manual handwritten timesheet from a notebook and enter the time spent into XPM timesheet, for people who prefer manually writing timesheets in a notebook.

Xero Tax (UK) | Ability to switch between FRS 102 to FRS 105
Needed: an option button in Xero Tax which switches the Accounts between FRS 102 and FRS 105.
The majority of our Clients only require FRS105 Accounts to be submitted to Companies House but they all ask for FRS 102 Accounts to provide to their Bank or for applying for mortgages etc.
We also want them to sign FRS102 Accounts since they have much more disclosure and if Clients simply see the FRS105 version of Accounts, they question the fee we charge them for such a small output (not realising the amount of work behind preparing them).

XPM - Report that shows clients and their income/turnover
We are in the process of organizing our client list for Audit Shield and like many other accounting firms we need to assign our clients a Turnover category. Currently Xero informs me there is no report I can run that will list the clients and their turnover for me to easily identify which category to assign to the client for audit purposes.
A report that shows the client, their income/turnover and the possibility to group and total buy the Client Group would be amazing and save so much unnecessary admin time.

Xero Tax (SG) - Show Net GST Amount
Previously it will show the Net GST amount without finalised or filed. However, now it require to do it in order to display. Would suggest to always display the amount for our summary, instead click into detail page.

Xero tax (UK) | Balance sheet tagging
I was tagging my balance sheet and my VAT balance in the current year is a creditor but the balance last year was a debtor balance. Is there a way to tag them seperately so my debtors and creditors balances in the current and prior year are correct?

Reporting / Billable Expenses - Cost of Sales between the invoice and its source bill
Reporting - it would be helpful if it was possible to draw supplier bills that have been assigned to a customer with the relevant customer invoice to compare raw figures of income against cost of sales. At the moment this is not possible. My CEO regularly asks for the info between COS and invoice amount. I am currently trawling through 50 invoices over a 2 month period for one supplier.

Xero HQ Ask - Client portal to see all queries on multiple entities
A client user console with the ability for that user to log in and see queries on multiple entities rather than have to click on every email. eg. particularly useful when asking queries to a bookkeeper or financial planner on multiple different clients so that they can track all their queries in one location.

AU Tax - Beneficiary Title to include King's Counsel option
The Beneficiary Details schedule of the return will need to be updated - In the title section there should be a 'King's Counsel' option instead of 'Queen's Counsel'.

Xero HQ | Client list - Option to view client codes
We use client codes for all our clients. There is an option to input this into the client record, but it would be good to be able to see that on the screen and sort by it, rather than just alphabetical list of clients.

XPM | Job Manager - Search by Job Name
The search was recently changed so you could search by client, but now if I search for 'GST' it will bring up all jobs with GST even in the description (i.e. a bunch of annual accounts and other jobs). Can the search be limited to Job Name rather than the detailed description in the job?

Xero HQ - Document Packs automated reminders
As we have in XPM for unsigned documents, can we please have automated reminders for unsigned document packs?

Practice Manager | Job Manager- Value column to show amount($) of the time budget remaining

We're enjoying the new Job Manager screen in XPM but would love it even more if there was a value column added to show the $$ amount of the time budget. For example, it's great to know there's still 30% available time but what amount is left and more importantly if the time budget is 115% what is the amount over budget.6 votes -
Hubdoc - Replicate Xero HQ access in Hubdoc
Need a better user management/access experience in HubDoc. Currently the practice user who set up the Hubdoc account needs to invite all other practice users into the client. Would it be possible to merge the Hubdoc access into the Xero HQ access or replicate the HQ access system in HubDoc.

AU Tax - Notice of Assessment placeholder for the applicable tax return year
A placeholder for the applicable tax return year that can be inserted into the NOA email template would make it easy for clients to know which year the email relates to.

Xero Files: File upload notifications for administrators
When a client uploads or emails a file to the Xero files area of their own subscription, it would be helpful if we, as their accountants, could receive a notification to let us know there is a file waiting for us.

AU Payroll - Default Ordinary hours to be reportable at W1
Change default pay item for ordinary hours to be reportable at W1.
Currently, the ordinary hours pay item is not ticked for 'reportable as W1 on Activity Statement'
Clients doing their own payroll or brand new Xero account setup may overlook this and all figures populated for BAS/IAS will be incorrect.16 votes
