Find and recode sort by other columns
Currently you can click the Inv Ref field in a results list from a search in Find & Recode and it will add a little ^ symbol to indicating it is sorting by that column.
It's not.
It's sorting by the date column.
Same if you click it again and get a \/ symbol.
Xero said that it's working as designed 🥴
Fix this madness and either remove the ability to click the column and the suggestion it's sorting (the ^ symbol) or make it work (sort by that column).

Hubdoc | Add new contact - Details to populate from the invoice
When creating a new contact in Hubdoc for Xero, it would be great if there was an option to add the contact details (address, phone, email, tax ID, bank details, etc) right then. Hubdoc could read the information from the invoice and populate it on the spot rather than my having to remember who I added on the fly, go find the information again, and then manually type it all in myself.

Practice Manager - Delete multiple jobs
Delete Multiple Jobs. When you want to cancel/delete a job, you have to do this one by one. This is okay but if you have like 30 BAS jobs from x client, it is a pain to delete one by one.

Report revenue by state - by picking up postcode on invoice.
A % state by state breakdown of turnover is required for professional indemnity insurance policies for accountants. It would be great if Xero allowed us to do a report by state picking up the postcodes off the invoices.

Job Manager - Show completed employee's tasks for jobs with multiple staff allocation
On JOB MANAGER - If more than one staff member is allocated to a job with multiple tasks a icon / green tick / should be added next to a persons name or the name should be highlighted if all their tasks in that specific job is completed. That will help with recon process for managers, without having to go into the job every time to see which staff member has to still complete their tasks.
AS ATTACHED IMAGE - OUR PRACTICE WILL NOW KNOW ANEL HAS COMPLETED ALL THE TASKS ASSIGNED TO HER IN THIS SPESIFIC JOB WITHOUT NEEDING…

AU TAX - Show if Xero totals are imported cash or accruals in Xero Tax
Show on xero tax form if you have imported the data on a cash or accruals basis. I often have no idea on initial viewing of a tax return.

UK Tax - Xero Files Preview to be available on Cash Based VAT Returns.
Currently there is the ability to click on the file preview within an accrual based VAT return and this will pull up the attachment on that transaction. This doesn't work on the cash based return unless the attachment has been attached to the payment itself rather than the bill/sales invoice entry.
It would be helpful if the cash based return could pull the attachments from the same bill/invoice area as accrual based returns.

Workpapers - Customised by Entity type
Xero workpapers should change depending on entity type selected. It appears that the selection of entity type in workpapers only serves to customise the query gallery and has no bearing on the actual workpapers created. An number of examples of this can be seen whereby selecting the trust entity type, the workpaper pack incorrectly contains M & M2 imputation credits, N Shareholders Current Account should be named N Beneficiary Current Account, and most significantly L - Income Tax does not contain a defined field for tax credits allocated on beneficiary income (instead users are having to use the free form…

Xero New Reports from 31/7/23 - fixes to the Trial Balance report compared to the Old Reports
The mandatory update to using the new Reports in Xero from 31st July 2023 means the old version of reports will cease. This includes the much used Trial Balance report as accountants like myself tend to start from there when reviewing quarterly and annual work.
I notice the following list of issues with the New Report for Trial Balance:

Pre-populate W1 and W2 fields in the Activity Statement when using an outside payroll program. This would save time and reduce errors.

XPM - Timesheet Credit Option for Team Members
Would be great for team members to be able to enter timesheet credits for flexitime hours over their standard daily hours, without having to enable the Financial privileges option in Staff settings (as this then provides visibility to all timesheets, ability to lock/unlock timesheets, ability to enter time for other team members, along with various practice financial report features etc).

Xero Tax(AU) | Tax returns - Include cents in HELP repayment calculation
I have noticed that Xero rounds the HELP repayment to the nearest dollar when estimating the tax outcome for individual tax returns however the ATO does not round the HELP repayment when issuing the notice of assessment.
Can Xero update the HELP repayment calculation to include cents instead of rounding to the nearest dollar?

XPM | Clients - Ability to exclude members of Non-Taxable Groups from Related Client Tax Returns
There is the option of adding Groups as a taxable group, however if the option is not selected client members of that group still pull through as related parties when adding a new return. The ability to use multiple Groups would be a great driver for "advisory" automations in 3rd party software if it didn't have that adverse outcome. Enhancement request - adding a tax return the related clients should only pull through members of the taxable group and exclude members of the "advisory" group.

Workpapers - Ability to edit Internal queries
Ability to edit review point, internal query and client query responses.
Currently once you click reply to an Internal Query or review point or client query in workpapers there is no option to edit. This is frustrating if you make a spelling error or accidentally respond to the wrong query. It would be great to have the ability to be able to edit these responses if necessary.

AU Tax | Income Tax Client Report - Field to add Jobs and view progress
We have an Income Tax Client Report (ITCRPT Report) which links to the ATO and shows us who still needs to be lodged and their due date. We would like to add jobs to it so we can see the progress of their associated tax return job. Xero Support have advised currently, it is not possible to include any extra details to the ITCRPT Report.

Workpapers - Ability to edit to meet compliance needs
Quite a few firms are using business fitness/their own custom workpapers in conjunction with Xero workpapers to meet their compliance needs. This is because some existing Xero workpapers e.g I2 - Finance Lease, S - Home Office, K - GST etc are not sufficient to meet our compliance needs. For example the home office workpaper does not contain the square metre rate method and there is no last year comparison for analytical review. NZ Tax - Ability to set up multiple cover page templates for a return type
Currently you can only set up one cover page template for tax returns in XPM. We'd like to be able to set up two different cover letters with different branding for each tax return and alternate between the two (i.e. select which cover letter you want for that return) when we are printing the tax return.

Xero Tax (UK) | Ability to switch between FRS 102 to FRS 105
Needed: an option button in Xero Tax which switches the Accounts between FRS 102 and FRS 105.
The majority of our Clients only require FRS105 Accounts to be submitted to Companies House but they all ask for FRS 102 Accounts to provide to their Bank or for applying for mortgages etc.
We also want them to sign FRS102 Accounts since they have much more disclosure and if Clients simply see the FRS105 version of Accounts, they question the fee we charge them for such a small output (not realising the amount of work behind preparing them).
