  1. Drafts used to be easy to see from the home page. It is so horrible now. Also, I want the ability to have all my bank accounts on the left hand side, but the widgets need to be balanced across the screen, this is so horrible and now I cannot see any data that was so easily visible. This may be ok for single use file bookkeeping, but when you are heavily involved in 200 files, this new homepage is horrible.

  2. The activity statement widget should have the ability to show my default BAS position for the current period (to present date). ie. what is my liability position with the ATO including GST & withholding

  4. I get a vendor's instruction tasks for unit turnovers... I'd like to copy and paste 15+ tasks list and Xero should itemized each task with a proposed material list for each one of those tasks

    Hi Dennis, reviewing your idea here it's not quite clear what you'd like to see here.

    Are you using Xero Projects to enter tasks? Or can you share a bit more information so others may be able to understand if this is something they'd also like to support?

  5. I always add the property address under REFERENCE... automatically the tax rate should be calculated under that address.

  7. should have the ability to show profits Trading profits in companies of the actual profit before shareholder salaries or retained earnings. It currently shows unusual results based on the taxable profit.

  8. It would be great to be able to customise any invoice related widgets on the home dashboard because different staff look after different types of customers all of whom have been assigned to their own contact groups.

    It would be good for individual staff to be able to customise their widgets to only show customers in their respective groups to monitor overdue invoices etc. at a glance

    Thanks for sharing this here, we understand that having a watch list with contact groups attached would be beneficial. We've opened this idea up for the community to add their votes and share their thoughts. We'll monitor this space for more traction in the meantime.

  9. Include MTD running total for self-employed and landlords.
    Tracking tax payable can help inform decisions about, for example, pension contributions, investing in property upgrades or paying off mortgages that affect tax bills.

  10. TASKS Tab - Make the Hyperlink to "Overdue Invoices" filterable by date range - or more simply add 'several' system generated date ranges ie: (1) 0-30 days Overdue; (2) 31-90 days; (3) 90+ days. This would make instant "Aged Receivables Reviews" a breeze - as smaller businesses have more tolerance for mild customer payment delays - but need to focus on those debtors with invoices that aged beyond several months.

  11. I'm a builder. I often pre-prepare invoices and want to print a list and total amount expected, a print button on the dashboard of invoices would be helpful

    Hi Lora, thanks for sharing this Idea with us! We have moved this to Gaining Support and now all you need to do is to share this with your Friends and other colleagues who share your thoughts on having a daily income option on the new Homepage. They can vote and comment and we will keep an eye on the progress of the Idea.

  13. In the old version I had an additional column where I could see invoices owed for "last week". This has now been removed and all invoices for last week are in the "older" column. I would like this column back as I found it very useful. I would need to be able to resize the widget in order for this to fit on my screen because there is so much white space to the right of my laptop screen that this widget is cutting off slightly to the right.

  14. Suggest you make the business specific email address easier to find, like it used to be, as the current long winded process to find it is very time consuming to pull up even for 7yr users of Xero

    Hi Sandra, would be good to get more detail from where you'd find the email most helpful to access?

    To highlight where you can currently retrieve these;

    • For emailing files to your Files inbox just click the organisation's name, select Files. From this page you'll find the unique email from the 'Email to Files inbox button in the top right
    • For emailing bills to your organisation click Purchases > Bills. From the New bill drop down you'll see a quick option to Copy your forwarding email address.

    Appreciate you bringing this up, Skubi. A Frequent Suppliers widget where you could quickly copy or edit bills sounds like a really handy time-saver for your data entry. We understand that having to search for a supplier or navigate to the full Bills screen each time can slow down your workflow.

    As you may be aware, you can use Repeating Bills to automate recurring costs, which works well for regular expenses. You can set the bills to be created as drafts which will allow you to edit it before approving.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and share it with our product teams. This helps highlight how a shortcut like this could make managing accounts payable smoother and faster.

    Hi Melissa, thanks for bringing this up. It’s clear that when you’re processing a high volume of invoices, having to open each one individually to attach a file can slow things down.

    One option for now is to upload documents into the Files inbox first and then assign them to the relevant invoice. While this can help streamline part of the process, we understand that being able to drag and drop attachments directly from the list view would make document management much more efficient.

    As we allow one idea per post to ensure support is tracked accurately, if you’d also like to see this functionality extended to Bills, please feel free to raise that as a separate idea so it can gather its own votes and feedback.

    Hi everyone, thanks for bringing this idea to the community! Having an “Income in Advance” widget right on the dashboard would give you an instant view of your future revenue, helping you see your financial position without extra clicks.

    At the moment, this usually means running specific reports or manually calculating deferred income, which can slow down your daily workflow. In the meantime, you can run the Cash Flow Manager, which shows projected cash in and out, or keep a starred Balance Sheet or custom tracking report in your Favorites for quicker access.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how helpful this visibility would be for managing cash flow.

  19. The new Dashboard can be huge and challenging to navigate if you have multiple bank accounts. It will be helpful to have a section with ALERTS at the top of the page.

    Hi everyone, thanks for sharing this suggestion! We can see how having the "Items to Reconcile" alerts visible while scrolling would make daily bookkeeping faster and more seamless. It’s all about helping you stay on top of your work without extra clicks or screen-jumping.

    For now, you can use the 'Bank Accounts' widget or the Tasks widget to see if there's any items to be reconciled, but we know a persistent global bar would make this even easier.

    I’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support to get more perspective from the community, so we can show our product teams the value this would bring.

  20. A widget to quickly locate "most recent invoices put in system".

    We use Xero in our retail store and sometimes we end up DOUBLING up invoices for one order (paperwork is picked up by another helpful person to put in, but has already been put in).
    Also good for tracking daily invoices/orders placed.

    Good to know the different elements that our customers find would help them rom the Homepage, Merlin. We'll continue to get a sense of the interest in this here.

    For the time being just to make sure you're aware - The History & notes report is probably most useful to you atm for getting a view of this. You'll be able to run the report for an individual all or users across your organisation and can filter to select only Invoice for Type. Once run if you type 'Created in the search box this'll further zone into just the invoice created by the selected users with in the date range. 🙂
