Less motions/clicks means more efficiency
I'd love quick access buttons on the home page, things that get done on a regular basis. For example adding a check or a bill or a quote or an invoice.

More seamless invoicing and everything in one app
Create a buisness planner to plan your work force to a job site with costings for the job all on the app , when the job is marked as finished the invoice gets marked as ready to send requiring approval without the extra admin of retyping everything out its all there and nothing is lost track off. You could plan lorrys from it too would be a huge competetive edge.

Make the auto reconcile function a time saver rather than a time increasing function.
Add the number of transactions that have been auto reconciled (since last login) for each bank account so that we need to check the auto reconciled transactions rather than think that there is nothing to reconcile. Now we have to drill down into each account to check if there was anything and this takes longer than reconciling the transactions in the first place, making it easier to turn off the auto reconcilie functionality.

Bring back the account graphs
Bring back the account graphs - perhaps when clicking on account transactions from the homepage (and not displayed on the homescreen as previously). This was a useful feature to see if account(s) were overdrawn in a period and to review credit card(s).

Ability to choose accrual or cash basis on the Chart of Accounts Watchlist without changing the accounting basis for Reporting
We use cash basis for reporting, but utilize the COA watchlist in the accrual basis.
Having the ability to choose your accounting basis on the Chart of Account watchlist would allow users to take full advantage of the COA watchlist without having to change their reporting basis to one basis to utilize the watchlist and back to the other for reporting.

Free up screen space
An option to get rid of the message across the top of the Home page telling us that we can switch back to the old Homepage for a short time. All it does is take up valuable realestate.

time saving
Return to having CONTACTS etc back at the top, rather than having to go to the 3 lines & scroll to find the various items that used to be visible straight away, frustrating & time consuming

Homepage - Remove app recommendations
How do I remove the ads from the Homepage? If I wanted extra widgets I would go looking.
If the product is missing features then Xero should be implementing them as part of the base package if I am paying a subscription.

Bank balance widget chart
The new homepage layout removed the 6-month historic bank account balance chart, so now we're only left with a 1-month view in the bank accounts tab.
Can you consider having an option to display the balance history chart on the home page widget once again, or make the chart on the bank accounts tab configurable to display the previous 1/3/6/12 months? It might also be worth considering an option to project the next 1 month balance based upon known income and expenses.

Adding customised reports into the widgets or a widget for customised reports
It would be handy for the reports link within the widgets to link through to the default report or at least be able to add customised reports to the widgets.

Ability to view key information for all users
When customising the homepage view, it would be helpful to have the option to set that customised layout as the default view for all users.
This would make sure everyone logging into the file sees the same key information and widgets to keep everyone aligned

Homepage | Widget for next Payroll
Next Payroll Wiget for Homepage
When the new homepage was launched, I was hoping for a widget that had the link to the next scheduled payroll, the draft amount, the due date, leave to approve, timesheets to approve, last payroll (perhaps), super payments, etc. Layout could be like the 'Bills to pay' widget without the chart. Given that in Australia, SGC will need to be paid each payroll, that draft amount could also be added in the widget, linking to the Super payments module.2 votesThanks for your idea and feedback here in the forums, Michael. Our product teams are still working on enhancements to the homepage and we'll keep a watchful eye on the interest in a payroll widget like you've described here.

Homepage | Expense widget - Drag & drop files to create expense
Provide a widget where you can drop any bill, expense or invoice, right on the homepage for Xero to analyse.

Homepage | Bank accounts - Toggle/option to conceal bank balances
On the Dashboard and Bank Accounts pages, the bank balance could be greyed out for better privacy. There could be a simple toggle control to hide and show the numbers on the screen.

Homepage | Profit & Loss - Common date selections (like report)
Why don't I have the same Time period options in the 'Net Profit and Loss' widget as I do on the actual report page?
I want to be able to see CURRENT month, quarter, etc on my home page and not just previous.
Inconvenient to have to click on the report and then change the time period manually every time I want to see how the month is tracking instead of just having the option directly on the homepage.1 voteAppreciate the feedback, Andreas. Homepage - Add Draft Bills
Ability to have a widget that lists Draft Bills. We leverage the Xero API to load expenses but they sit in Draft until coded. This would provide a 'To Do list'
1 voteHi Uri, from the Bills to pay widget you'll see there is a summary of Draft bills which if you click will take you directly to your list of Draft bills to review.

Homepage | Invoices owed to you widget - Move new invoice button to top
The "Invoices owed to you" widget NEEDS to have the "new invoice" button on top as before. What do we do with XERO besides accounting? Create invoices, and having to scroll down this widget is useless as ...... (fill in the blank). It's a very simple display change.

This is something we're monitoring feedback of and would be good to hear from others on your idea here that'd also appreciate this option further up the widget.
As another simple way of creating an invoice there's the keyboard shortcut '/i' that'll open Search with an option to create 'New invoice'.
