Homepage - Remove animations
Provide an option to eliminate animations. The growing bars is a distraction, I find myself waiting for the movement to stop before proceeding. I'm here to work, I want the information - I'm not here for entertainment.
3 votesThanks so much for taking the time to share how the moving graphs on the homepage feel for you – I’m really sorry they’re causing frustration and distraction.
We introduced the animations to help bring key information (like money in and out, or what’s owed and due) to life and make it easier to see changes at a glance when the page first loads, rather than having everything appear as a static block of numbers. The bars “rising” from the baseline are there to show the most up-to-date figures and make comparisons a bit clearer, not to get in the way of your work.
That said, we completely understand that movement on screen doesn’t work well for everyone, and it’s important you can focus on your tasks without visual noise. At the moment there isn’t a way to turn these homepage graphs off, or to disable the animation just for…

Homepage | Bank account - Make Refresh bank feed button stand out
Make the 'renew bank feed' button/message clearer, it doesn't stand out very well on the new layout.
5 votesThanks so much for taking the time to share this, and for calling out how the renew / refresh bank feed experience on the new homepage.
We’ve moved this idea to Gaining support. This means it’s not currently scheduled on our roadmap, but we agree it could improve key banking workflows, so we’re now watching community votes and comments to help us prioritise it alongside other homepage and bank feeds work.
Please keep adding any extra details about your workflow (for example, how often you’re refreshing and how many bank accounts you manage) and encourage others who’d benefit to add their vote — that will help us understand the impact when we’re reviewing future changes to the homepage bank accounts widget.

Homepage - Include the number of billable expenses outstanding in the tasks list
It would be great if the number of billable expenses - outstanding (as per the report of the same name) could be included in the tasks widget - ie expenses to be oncharged. Currently I have to run the report to check if there are any oncharges to complete, but it would be great if I could just see the number on the list. We use this feature for almost all of the organisations we look after (20+) and it would save time and ensure we are oncharging more promptly.
2 votesThanks for your feedback on this and sharing how this would be useful to your flows, Lisa. We're taking feedback about this widget on board and considering what additional items would be most useful to customers. I'll be sure to share any updates if there is progress for adding billable expenses to this view.

Homepage - Widget List format neurodiverse friendly
It would be great to have the option to display the widgets in list form, like the old display.
As a neurodiverse person, I work in lists. With the old version every time i logged in, i would work my way down the list of accounts, ensuring i would finish before moving onto the next. This is particularly important as we have over 10 accounts.
Currently the page feels cluttered and has no flow. I can speak for the neurodiverse community, that it is a struggle to go into the homepage and not feel overstimulated. I can see 6 blue…4 votesThanks so much for taking the time to share this. I really appreciate how clearly you’ve explained the impact the new homepage is having for you, especially around feeling overstimulated and losing the clear flow the previous list-style layout gave you.
I can absolutely see why having a list view would make the experience feel more manageable, particularly when you’re working across so many accounts. Your feedback is thoughtful and specific, and it helps show how important flexibility and accessibility are in this space.
We’re moving this feedback into gaining support internally so it can help build visibility around the need for a list-style option and a less overwhelming homepage experience.

Homepage - Organize and order of bank accounts to mirror in the bank accounts page
Order of Bank Accounts used to be based on the way they were organized from the Bank Accounts page, and then each user could rearrange their Homepage widgets. Now this sorting doesn't seem to impact the way the Homepage is sorted.
AND, if new accounts are added, not only does the old Bank Accounts page order have anything to do with the new Homepage, but new accounts are not automatically added to the dashboard. You have to:
1) Edit Homepage
2) Add Widget
3) Toggle the New Bank Accounts on to Show on the Homepage
4) Save
5) Scroll down…11 votesThanks for the feedback here team, understand how reflecting the order of the bank accounts from the bank accounts page would be useful for some users.
We'll continue to track interest in this here and let you know if there are any updates to the behaviour of ordering planned, however it's not in the pipeline at present.
In terms of showing new bank accounts - the first bank account you add is shown by default. As you add new bank accounts there is a banner that'll show to let you know new accounts are available and you can use the Edit homepage option to choose which widgets you'd like to have shown on your homepage.

Homepage | Bank account - Add year to the date format
Add the year to the date that is showing on the bank account widget. It gets confusing sometimes. Having 15 Feb 2026 would be easier than Feb 15.
5 votesAppreciate users have differing preferences in how they'd like dates to be formatted in Xero, Leanne. We don't have any plans for changing this at present but will get a better sense of the wider interest from the community here.

Homepage - Customise widgets to display by contact groups
It would be great to be able to customise any invoice related widgets on the home dashboard because different staff look after different types of customers all of whom have been assigned to their own contact groups.
It would be good for individual staff to be able to customise their widgets to only show customers in their respective groups to monitor overdue invoices etc. at a glance
1 voteThanks for sharing this here, we understand that having a watch list with contact groups attached would be beneficial. We've opened this idea up for the community to add their votes and share their thoughts. We'll monitor this space for more traction in the meantime.

Remove the "Import bank statement" link
We don't need to see this link against every bank account on the homepage. The link in the ellipsis is enough.
3 votesHey Jonathan., I completely understand that you personally don’t need the Import bank statement option there.
However, we’ve chosen to keep it visible because, across all Xero organisations, it’s actually one of the most frequently used actions on the bank widget.
Many businesses still rely on manual statement uploads at different times – for example when a bank doesn’t support feeds, there’s a gap in the data, or a feed is temporarily unavailable.
So while it might not be something you use every day, it’s a key shortcut for a lot of other customers, which is why it still appears on the homepage.
If your feeds are working well, you can safely ignore it – it’s simply there as a convenient backup when it’s needed.

Homepage - Add new bank accounts to homepage by default
Automatically show new bank accounts on the Homepage
When a new bank account is added in Xero, it currently defaults to being hidden until the user manually clicks “Add to homepage.” This creates an extra, unnecessary step.
Suggestion:
Have newly added bank accounts appear on the Homepage by default, with the option to hide them if users prefer. This would streamline the setup process and reduce friction for users who expect new accounts to be visible immediately.3 votesHi team, after further discussion with our product team we're going to open this idea back up and would like to better understand the wider interest for being able to add new bank accounts as a default to the Homepage.
As mentioned in our last update at present.
- When you add your very first bank account to your Xero org, this automatically appears as a widget on your Homepage
- After this, additional bank accounts you add prompt a banner so you're made aware there are new accounts, and you can Edit your Homepage to add each of them as a widget to your view and arrange where these sit on the page.
We'd be really keen to get further insights through your feedback here on why showing every bank account by default would be most useful to your business, as opposed to being able to Edit the homepage and add…

Homepage | Invoices owed to you - list of outstanding
I would rather have a list of outstanding invoices (names and amounts) on the dashboard instead of a graph with the totals owed. (same layout as the recently paid invoices list which i have removed completely as its not necessary)
5 votesThanks for he feedback here, team. Atm we don't have any plans for surfacing your outstanding invoices as a list within the widget, however we appreciate feedback we've received around the graph and our team are working on some sizing updates that would enable you to remove the graph on both the Invoices owed to you and Bills to pay widgets. You can stay updated on this work through the idea here.

Homepage - Month to date, year to date sales widget
Cash in and out is very helpful, however, any organisation that offers lead time and credit terms is often more focused on sales rather than income. There is no month to date, year to date sales widigit.
I get that the home page can't be all things to all people, but in part you are trying to make it a KPI dashboard without fully facilitating the needs of many.
5 votesAppreciate the feedback here, team. As mentioned by some there is the Chart of Accounts watchlist that will help you get a quick snap of your sales account however appreciate wanting a separate widget for this and we'll continue to track interest this idea grows. I'll be sure to update if there are any plans made.

Homepage - Show expenses to review/pay in task list
When I add the "expenses to review" widget to the homepage, this shows the expenses that are needing approval, and how much is to be paid.
At the moment I have all my expenses reviewed, and some that now need payment. Why is this information also not replicated in the "Tasks" widget?
What is the point of a "Tasks" widget if it doesn't summarise all the needed actions highlighted across all the selected/displayed widgets? At the moment the listed tasks appear to only summarise a few widgets (and even then regardless of whether those widgets are selected to be shown…
2 votesAppreciate the feedback and how you'd find this information useful within the task widget. Our product teams are reviewing this widget to consider what additional items would be most useful for customers and your feedback here is welcomed. We'll be sure to let you know if we make plans to add expenses to this widget.

Homepage | Task list - Include bank Feed status warnings
Task List - Add "Refresh/Renew Bank Feed" warnings to the task list (limited to banks shown on the dashboard to prevent unnecessary warnings on old accounts). The task list is incredibly useful and for my own Homepage, I have moved the bank accounts to below the rest of the tables to try to maximise the usefulness of the homepage. This makes the warnings less visible.
7 votesUnderstand how having notifications for bank feed refreshes added to the Task list could be helpful, and great to hear you find this widget useful. 🙂
Our product teams are taking on board all feedback around the new homepage and I'll be sure to share if there are any plans made to add this, here.

Homepage | Payroll widget for employee leave requests
Hi, on the new dashboard, I don't get or can't see an option for staff leave/holiday requests. It doesn't come up on the task lists either. I feel this might be an oversight, but this could easily be missed.
7 votesHi everyone, thanks for the suggestion—it’s clear that having a Leave Requests widget on the dashboard would make it much easier to see upcoming time off at a glance. We can see how this quick visibility would help managers plan staffing and stay on top of pay runs without extra navigation.
I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can track interest and show our product teams how much value a dedicated homepage summary would bring to managers and business owners.

Xero Tax (UK) - MTD for IT running total on homepage
Include MTD running total for self-employed and landlords.
Tracking tax payable can help inform decisions about, for example, pension contributions, investing in property upgrades or paying off mortgages that affect tax bills.3 votesThanks for sharing this idea about MTD running totals for self-employed individuals and landlords.
We appreciate you highlighting how visibility into tax payable could support financial planning decisions.

Homepage - Bills to pay/Awaiting Payment screen to group by date range
TASKS Tab - Make the Hyperlink to "Overdue Invoices" filterable by date range - or more simply add 'several' system generated date ranges ie: (1) 0-30 days Overdue; (2) 31-90 days; (3) 90+ days. This would make instant "Aged Receivables Reviews" a breeze - as smaller businesses have more tolerance for mild customer payment delays - but need to focus on those debtors with invoices that aged beyond several months.
1 voteThanks for sharing this idea about filtering overdue invoices by date ranges on the homepage. We appreciate you explaining how this could help with aged receivables reviews.

Homepage - Easily view over 50 bank accounts
Today I learned with shock that the new dashboard only supports 50 bank accounts for display. Unfortunately, we have more accounts which on the new dashboard layout will not be shown. That is not good for our organisation. The workaround via the "list of accounts" is cumbersome and definitely not an improvement.
If more than 50 bank accounts cannot be displayed on the dashboard or "Home" page, would it be possible to have FOLDERS on the dashboard like folders on a PC desktop or on a smartphone? Then I could allocate around 10 bank accounts into one folder according to…
7 votesThanks for sharing your feedback on viewing more than 50 bank accounts on the homepage. We appreciate you explaining how important this is for organisations managing larger numbers of accounts.

Homepage | Widget for recently paid bills
Could we have more widgets to add - recently paid bills would be great
2 votesThanks for your feedback, Paul. Good to hear the different details that our customers would find most helpful at a glance. While we don't have plans for adding a recently paid bills widget like the invoices one just at this time we'll start to track interest in this here and I'll update you if there's any news.

Homepage - Add “New Mileage Claim” button in Expenses widget
Would it be possible to add in a "Create New Mileage Claim" in the 'Expenses' section of the new Homescreen? Currently there is a button to 'Create new Expense', but I know of a lot of Xero users that have significantly more mileage claims to input than expense claims, so having the quick shortcut option for the mileage element would be far more efficient.
3 votesThanks for your feedback on adding a dedicated mileage claim button to the homepage. We appreciate you sharing how this could streamline your workflow, especially for those processing mileage claims regularly.

Homepage - Print list of invoices and totals
I'm a builder. I often pre-prepare invoices and want to print a list and total amount expected, a print button on the dashboard of invoices would be helpful
