  1. I would like to customise the columns that appear in the chart of accounts watchlist. I would like have yesterday's closing balance, last month's closing balance, and the change.

    I use the watchlist to monitor clearing accounts, such as daily takings clearing accounts, and being able to spot when a balance has gone awry would be very helpful not only for me but for our team who reconcile these clearing accounts.

    Would be even better if we could add more than one instance of the watchlist then we could have one for clearing accounts with the columns described above, and…

    Really appreciate hearing the detail of why this idea would be useful and how you use the Watchlist on the Homepage.

    We value all the feedback we're receiving on this new experience from our customers here and will share if there are any changes for this planned, here.

  2. I like the new look. Can the Business overview heading be removed and the customise button be moved up to where it is in the old homepage, next to last login? Screen real estate is very precious, especially when the client has a lot of bank accounts/credit cards that fall off the bottom of the screen and can get easily missed.

  3. Have a few options so a basic user can cut down on the noise and just have bank accounts and the profit graph, for a new user this would be overwelming.

    Hi everyone, we appreciate the attention this idea has been getting. It's really good to hear how we can continue to improve the Homepage for our differing customers needs. We understand not all the widgets maybe useful to every user, and the 'Customise' button will let you add or remove widgets to reduce what you see on the Homepage.

    Taking on board feedback we're looking at the sizing of widgets and you'll find the 'Chart of Accounts' and 'Cash in and out' widgets are now smaller by default with an option to 'Make larger' - You can follow further updates for this on the idea here.

    We have plans to dig deeper into possible 'view' options (like the different levels of views being asked here) in the new year and I'll share further updates here when this gets picked up. 🙂

  4. Tasks. We would love to be able to manually add a task or reminder so that the next time we logged into a clients Xero we can see the reminder to check or do something.

  5. To have the search function look up bank accounts by name or number. As we have approx 80 bank accounts in one Xero dashboard scrolling to find the correct one is very time consuming, so a search function would be very handy.

    Thanks for your idea, Simone. Gosh that is a lot of bank accounts I can see why a search would help. No immediate changes planned for this but I'll share your feedback with our product team and we'll get a sense of others that'd find this useful from your idea, here. 🙂

  6. Would be great to customise the Homepage across all your 450 clients at once via a global setting. Then deal with outliers individually on their own homepage.

    Not sure why it's designed for single org users only. Need a way to do this on scale please!

    Awesome to hear you're getting a feel of the homepage, Charles. Thanks for taking your time to feedback on what changes would make the most impact for you.

    I'll make sure to share your feedback with our product teams. For now we'll get a sense of interest from others in the beta here, and I'll keep you updated if any plans for a global setting are made.

  7. The beta version of the new Xero layout. updated interface feels overly busy and cluttered, which makes navigation more difficult—particularly for clients who manage multiple bank accounts.

    I believe users should have the choice to switch to the new layout when they’re ready, rather than being automatically transitioned.
    Additionally, clients pay for Xero to streamline their financial management, not to have advertising pushed at them.

    The current design detracts from the user experience and makes it harder to find and complete tasks efficiently.

    Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.

    Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:

    • More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
    • More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
    • Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page

    We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

  8. The ability to access the setting for each menu item is great.
    The ability to create a sales invoice for billable expenses from the billable expense is outstanding.
    The button to View transactions on each bank account on the home page is excellent but I would like this button for accounts that have items to reconcile as well. Fewer clicksHelp banner on each page. I would like to be able to disable this permanently for established clients.Sales tab.
    Love the "Billable Expenses", Needs to be aboveQuotes. Need to be able to not bill them where I have a project invoice. Just assign the customer.

  9. ​Love the look and ability to customise widgets for clients. It would be great if we, as Advisors, can specify then the client can change.

    Displaying the client logo in the top left is great but way too small to be effective

  10. Currently this only shows over a 12 month period when in all cases I'd like to see how well each customer or supplier has performed against the same month last year.

    At worst could this not simply be a 15 month graph (as if it were 13 then the previous month/previous year would drop of when everything was in by the beginning of the following month?

    • at best could you select filters to compare even the past 3 years by month etc...

    We appreciate the feedback on having more controls over the period of the cash in and out widget.

    With the rollout of the new Homepage underway our product teams have a close ear to the ground of feedback and I'll be sure to update if there is any changes planned for the periods of this widget here.

  11. The ability to add a monthly Profit and Loss Graph to the dashboard. This feature was available in my old accounting software (Wave Accounting).

    Hi team, thanks for the feedback we've received on this idea. We'd like to highlight that on the new homepage, you'll find Net Profit & Loss is a widget, on the widget you'll find there are a few different date selections.

    I appreciate this doesn't quite achieve the monthly comparative as shown in the screenshot and we'll continue to keep this idea open for votes and share if there are improvements planned.

  12. I would like to set and track deadline dates on the dashboard for each client relating to statutory and other submissions (i.e. provisional tax / monthly management reports / tax return submissions / etc.).

    Hi everyone, appreciate the tractions on this idea.

    It's clear that having key tax and compliance dates visible on the dashboard would make it much easier to plan ahead and ensure due dates are met. When those deadlines live outside of Xero, it can mean extra admin and more mental load than necessary.

    I’ve moved this to Gaining Support so we can capture interest and share with the product team how valuable this added visibility would be.
