Homepage - Chatbox or notepad on Xero
A widget or chatbox where you can leave comments for accountant or business owner?
Ability to strikeoff and clear the comments/tasks. Ability to add attachments like screenshots or even videos will be a great feature for this widget.
This widget can sit on dashboard.

I have thought for a long time that it would be great to have a diary facility within Xero, it could then be a one stop shop for contractors who use the system.
The way I see it working is that when someone marks a quote as accepted, a screen could pop up to add it to the diary. All the information could be added to the appointment, i.e. address, work to be undertaken and cost. It could potentially also be that when clients accept the quote, they get to see a "busy/available" version of the diary whereby they just see when someone is busy / available and can select a provisionally date for the works to be undertaken.
When marking that appointment as complete, a screen could pop up to invoice it and the diary colour would change to show it has been invoiced and then change again once it has been paid.
You could then have a widget on the home page to show the projected earnings for the following weeks / months.
I currently do this all manually for my contractor clients but it would be great to have it all in one place and somewhat automated and client interactive.
I appreciate not every Xero client is a contractor, so maybe it could be an "add on" for those who provide that type of work.
It could also be taken a step further to allow "read only" users who could view the diary and work involved, but not the costs, to be used by sub-contractors who could in turn submit their invoices once they mark the job as complete their end.
Anyway just a thought, hope this is helpful.

I need a spot where I can post a note to myself. For example I just spent 10 minutes trying to find out how to upload bills a common task. Its Alt-shift-U, but I'm not going to remember that.

Add a 'notes' option to homepage. I'd love to set myself a little note on what I need to do when I log into a particular company.

I would absolutely love to see a widget where you can write a checklist for daily tasks. I'm forever writing things down and would benefit from having this available on the Dashboard homepage. One with checkboxes to tick when the task is done. The ability to break this down into daily and weekly sections would be even better!

This would be very helpful. Assignable notes to accountants and other users, and also option for individual users to make notes on homepage that aren't necessarily seen by other users of that organisation.

A "notes" widget would benefit our business. We have multiple unique client profiles, and multiple users who access each. The ability to see important reminders/information on the homepage would be beneficial.

I'd like to see a sticky note style of widget which would allow for the short reminders required for clients and staff when using the file.

A box on the homepage for users to add some notes on for themselves similar in style and functionality to the discuss tab on reconcile screen.
