reconcile non bank accounts
It would be handy to be able to reconcile accounts (eg clearing accounts) and be able to see just the unreconciled items, similar to the way the unreconciled transactions appear for bank accounts.

Homepage - Templates and Blank Cards (Widgets)
Homepage - Templates that give users quick layouts.
The current 'new' system is cluttered and starts with all items in some random order different to the layout on the old (and honestly nicer and cleaner) layout. The current system will make it very hard for some users to find items and will take time to set up. As the cascading cards uses more of a 'app page' layout and shuffling.
To help, and also not create extra ongoing load for your team would be to allow community templates so more proactive users a chance to build and share card layouts.

Expense Document Uploads
Not homepage but happened at the same time so maybe related: pdfs are showing up tiny and in poor resolution when uploaded as an image to a new expense claim.

connecting Stripe account to get payment details immediately
Having Stripe account shown. Then as soon as payment is made via Stripe, you know it's been paid, instead of waiting for notifications.

Receipts - Automatically link to transaction
When uploading a receipt, Xero should recognise the information on the receipt and automatically find the bank transaction or ones similar to match with, like what Quickbooks does. It would make life a lot easier.

Include current exchange rates on the homepage.
It would be good to have the option to display current exchange rates on the homepage, instead of having to go through the settings menu. If a staff member needs a rate, they need it now.

Net cash movement overlay on Cash In & Out widget
Add a net cash movement line (cash in minus cash out) overlaid on the Cash In & Out widget.
This would let business owners instantly see whether cash is actually building or eroding over time, without running reports or exporting data.
A net cash overlay (or toggle) would make the dashboard far more useful for real-world cashflow decision-making.

Permanently Hide the advertising of unsuitable apps and online payments
Online payments, receipt processing apps etc are totally unsuitable for my business - and never will be.
Please have a setting somewhere that permanently hides the adverts for stuff that is totally useless to me and just annoys me when it pops up AGAIN and has to be dismissed AGAIN!

Summarise the invoices and Bills for a given contact
It would be nice to have an overview of specific (perhaps problematic) clients.
It would be good to be able to see at a glance:
- average payment timeframe (i.e. usually 5 days late etc.)
- current credit/debt value

Stock levels on home screen
It would be really helpful to have a home screen widget that shows current inventory levels with a small search bar to allow users to check stock levels on an item. This is something that would need to be available to all user levels, currently we have sales team members and the only way they can check stock is by opening a new quote and entering the item.
If we give them full access so they can access the products and services screen, this also allows access to bank account etc, so not very practical.

Have the 'Last Signed In' date handle dates from the previous year more intelligently
The 'Last Signed In' date on the homepage is a bit misleading when in the situation where you signed in before the Xmas break, and then signed in again in the new year. Currently the way it handles this 'Last signed in 1 year ago' makes it sound like you haven't signed in for 12 months.
I think a better solution here would be if it just said x days ago

A bank statemant with detailed descriptions
I would love to see on the bank statement what the purchase was for, due to i often use PayPal, and then have to go into each of the bank transactions details to find out what was purchased, if there is line for that in the statements, it would be so much easier to find what you are looking for, it is not always you remember the amount.
