Quote - Get a link that can be shared externally
Ability to get quote links so users can also send it from their own/other email address.
Purpose: To simplify the current workflow. As users’ currently sending a quote to themselves from Xero, and then copy the link out of there.
Hi everyone, we totally get the expectation here for quotes to have an online invoice view considering this is available for Invoices.
We appreciate the desire for more consistency across the Sales experience from end-to-end.
With this in mind, we’d like to share that our Product team has picked up this idea as part of work they're exploring right now. I’ll keep you in the know as it moves along! 😊

Surely using SAME user experience the invoices ALREADY have, Share Invoice, can't take YEARS to implement to the quote system.
Pestering accounts to swap to MYOB or Quickbooks as this is a daily drag for the sales team.

Come on Xero, if you want to maintain and attract new customers, we need the basics attended to. Putting in a quote link should be a top priority

Argh! Same old story with Xero quotes. No auto reminders (STILL) and no easy was of obtaining a link to a customer quote. Very poor. I'm having to create a Zap between Xero and one of our other apps to automatically send a reminder to our customers if they haven't accepted their quote - it's insane!

Can't believe this hasn't been done yet. We wrote off using Xero for Quotes nearly four years ago because of this. Revisted just now...and here we are. Basically a useless feature without it, for all the reasons given below.

YES! All of Xero's efforts making nice online quotes are somewhat wasted when it's so hard to get a link to them. This is especially when I'm generating several similar quotes (e.g. 1 year of maintenance, 3 years, and 5 years). I like to just send an email with a list of quotes and links rather than bombard the customers with individual emails. Right now I have to email each quote to myself first and fish out the links. It's inefficient and error prone. All Xero needs to do is add a "share -> get link" feature like invoicing already has.

I have customers whose email systems block Xero emails every time, so having an easy way to generate a quote link I can send from my email would be quite helpful.

Is there a way that we can extract the link to send the quote to client?

2015 to 2023 and still wait to include the same functionality invoices have...
This is a frustration every single day for us.

Seems like this is a very easy implementation for a big benefit. :)
Especially with no delay-send for quotes or invoices, at least with this I can use normal email with delay-send. -

any update!?
Save > Send to myself > Copy link > delete email.... seems idiotic when Share > Get Link ALREADY exists on invoices

Yep, just discovered I can't share a link via SMS to a quote. What year is this again? Get it together Xero devs, you're living in the past..

Crazy this was requested originally nearly 8 years ago ! ... CUMMON Xero ... better functionality like this is is much more important than the latest round of prettier screens / reports - how about listening to your users ?? and acting on simple suggestions like this a whole lot faster

This functionality already exists for invoices. Why not quotes?
