There are regulatory requirements in certain countries for example Mozambique to display the Freight and Insurance underneath with the totals and it's not allowed in the invoice lines. Please add a way to accomplish this with tracking categories or additional fields in the advanced invoice template layout.

Please add freight in as a charge on the invoice. Even Zoho does this in their free version!

My accountant is wanting me to swap over from MYOB. Adding freight as a separate section at the bottom of an invoice is critical for me to move over.

Ok, so looking back this have been a question for a number of business's since 2018. Why can't this be solved.
I have chosen to change over from MYOB to Xero and I am finding set up and navigation much more complicated.

MYOB my be expensive but it is a much simplier process.

Preferably add after the subtotal so it is not a line item as this shows up on the packing slip and there is no option to change the packing slip items.

It's hard to believe this isn't standard. Why hasn't anyone designing software realised this omission yet???

There is currently no section to include shipping in the subtotal of an invoice.
As it is not a product or service, including them in the line of items doesnt look right, plus we don't usually charge gst on shipping. So if the shipping is a separate fee in the subtotal, it will be useful to give an option of charge gst or not for shipping.
I am used to having this available in the accounting software I used previously.

Please make this happen, I am trialing xero now. My accountant wants me to switch. But without this basic property... what am I even doing here?

Reiterating what other customers are saying. The ability to add a shipping/freight charge under the subtotal is just basic functionality. It doesn't belong in the sales lines.

People have been asking for this since I joined Xero (2016?). Crickets. So don't hold your breath.

A carriage charge at the bottom of the invoice is essential for our company also. This really needs to be implemented urgently please!

All other platforms have this field separate in both invoices and bills. It is a basic feature that should be implemented.

I have heard bake from a Xero consultant but it is not on there important list.

This is a highly required addition for an invoice. It shouldn't be missing!

I've been waiting a year a no one has bothered to reply. No piont paying for a Xero Team if they are not going to take note. Deffinetly no service here.
