Hi everyone, we appreciate that as eInvoicing is adopted by more regions and businesses the appetite for supporting eInvoicing across more of Xero’s features is growing.
Over the coming months our product team will be looking into updates to Xero’s repeat invoices templates and support for eInvoicing within these is something that's on our teams radar. When we get to picking this up and being able to explore this deeper, we’ll keep you updated and share if there are any opportunities to bring you into our discovery.

90% of our invoices are monthly repeating invoices. This is important for us to be able to send invoices securely to our clients.

Around a year ago I was in a webinar run by various government agencies, including the ATO, on improving cyber security for businesses. One recommendation was to use e-invoicing with Peppol. To be more secure than sending PDF via email. I have been encouraging clients to implement e-invoicing. I now find that it isn't available for repeating invoices. 99% of my monthly invoices are repeating invoices. It is time this is implemented.

Having a lot of clients to invoice at month end means the repeating function is vital to ensure all customers receive their invoices. Without the repeating ability we run a strong risk of missing some as there is no "check" feature to ensure all have been captured.

Customer moving to Peppol and requires einvoicing. I cannot do this with the current repeating template I have. Seriously !! The New Invoicing template can not be used for a repeating invoice. Why??

We have a large number of repeating invoices. It is crazy that this feature is not available and is the reason we are yet to progress with an e-invoicing.

How is this a feature that was overlooked in the first place. should have been added along with adding eInvoicing to standard invoices

I have clients of a customer of mine asking them to send e-invoices.
The manual workaround is not workable and would waste administration time. This frankly undermines the point of the e-invoicing network (which is essentially to save time). Not being able to send e-invoices to a large government department via repeating invoices in Xero is frankly ridiculous. It feels like a half complete feature. -

I have several clients all who utilise large volumes of repeating invoices. We all utilise Xero and e-invoicing. Currently we have to manually intervene on every repeating invoice to click - send as e-invoice. This removes the efficiency and benefits of both repeating invoices and e-invoicing. I consider this essential to these features being a success.

99% of the invoices I send are repeating and I would like to encourage my clients to adopt einvoicing.
Not being able to send einvoices from repeating invoices means that I can't lead by example or demonstrate to my clients how it works in the real world.

We work with a lot of repeating invoices and have just registered for e-invoicing, however there is currently no way to setup a repeating invoice to be sent via e-invoicing.
