Customer statements - Allow customers to view live statements online
At the moment, when we email a statement from Xero, the customer only receives a static snapshot plus invoice links that reflect the balance at that point in time. If a payment or new invoice is issued after we send it, we must send another statement manually for them to see the updated balance.
It would be extremely helpful if Xero offered a secure link or customer-facing portal where each customer could view a live statement of their account at any time — showing all outstanding, overdue, and paid invoices in real time — without us needing to resend updated statements.
This would save significant admin time for businesses, improve accuracy, and give customers a far better self-service experience.
Hi team, last year we released the ability to send and enable your customer to view and pay from an online statement. This is available through the use of Stripe.
An online statement will be live for 90 days from the time it is sent, and the online statement will be reflective of the current invoices for that customer at the time - so if updates are made to invoices between the time it is sent the online statement will still be up to date. 😊
