add additional reference fields to sales invoices via Branding Themes
Allow users to enable additional, custom reference fields.
Please add the ability to enable additional, custom reference fields on sales invoices via the 'Edit Branding Theme' screen, to support business in the motor industry.
These fields would allow invoice issuers to record vehicle specific details such as:
- Make / Model
- Registration
- Colour or Mileage
Currently Xero invoice only support a single entry reference field, and so users at present must rely on line descriptions or notes, which are inconsistent, unclear for customers, and increase queries and disputes. Competing software such as Quickbooks already support these additional invoice fields.
I propose adding a section within the 'Edit Branding Theme' to add additional fields and customise the field labels for them.
When these additional fields are added they appear on the sales invoice entry screen, to allow the needed reference details to be added and on the PDF output. It will make Xero more suitable for motor trade businesses.
I have attached a copy of the current 'Edit Branding theme' screen and suggest the inclusion of adding additional reference boxes are located on the left side.
Also attached is a demo invoice of what a QB invoice looks like with these fields in.
