Branding Themes - Toggle to hide delivery address by default on invoice branding themes

The ability to remove the delivery address on an invoice theme would be really helpful. Currently you have to untick a box on every invoice but this could be made a permanent feature on the branding theme invoice templates. A simple toggle to turn off and on would be really helpful. Saves having to remember on every invoice to untick the box.

Thanks for raising this suggestion, Beatrice. There’s already an organisation-level setting that lets you control whether contact delivery addresses are automatically displayed on invoices. Go to Sales settings > Invoice settings > Sales Preferences and turn off Always display contact delivery addresses on invoices.

This means you won't need to manually untick the delivery address option each time you create an invoice. As this is already supported in Xero, I've updated the status for this idea.

Seem to have found a quick way to stop the Delivery address appearing on all sales invoices:

Sales>Sales settings>Sales Invoice settings>Sales Preferences tab and Delivery address toggle off

This recent change where it's now automatically shown will mean I have to go through hundreds of contacts and delete their delivery address as it may be the same address as the billing one - at the moment it looks silly at the top with the same address twice. It should be an optional tick tab to include the delivery address on the invoice. Or just simply on or off. If the delivery address is different as some customers have several sites - I'll just add the address in the invoice items description.

100% agree. Commented on this the other day. Definitely needs to be revised as an 'opt in ONLY' - or another simple solution would be to add another address option for delivery and change the current one to 'physical' or 'street' (rather than just adding on a delivery address forcing users to still to go in and update every customer who has a postal and site address already on the file).

We deal with a number of volume contractors, so all of our billable items relate to sites that are NOT our customer's head office address.

Xeros broken... in the Edit branding theme you can select to show or hide the shipping address, when you select hide it shows the ship to address and when you select show it shows the address... Don't you test these options before rolling them out into the main stream... You guys charge like a wounded bull but there is still errors within the system...

This would be great. It would be good to just turn it off all invoices and turn it on as required. When processing a large volume of invoices it quite fiddly to go and turn this off each time. It also makes the new invoice template look very busy at the top.

Please make it OPTIONAL to have the delivery address appear on Invoices. Across dozens of businesses we use Xero for, none of them require a delivery address on the invoices. Currently the only way to avoid the delivery or "Shipping" address show up is to remove the information from the Contact details section. However, we want to retain our customers' street address information for our own reference, we do not want to delete it. If it is not workable for some companies to toggle the Delivery Address on or off in the template settings, at least please allow it to be selected/checked on or off when setting up each Contact.

This newest 'upgrade' of adding the customer delivery address to invoices needs to be revised as an 'opt in ONLY' please (or add another address option for delivery and change the current one to 'physical' or 'street'.)

We deal with a number of volume contractors, so all of our billable items relate to sites that are NOT our customer's head office address.

Allowances need to be made for this and the current solution of simply removing the billing address from the contact is not the best solution as it means we lose this information completely from the customer record.

    Please fix!
