    1. There should be an option so that we can arrange bills/invoices according to suppliers /customers when processing bills/invoices just like in dext .And next option should be included in both archive and during processing bills/invoices.
    2. Split and merge option should be included when processing bills/invoices. 3 There should be a filter for credit note, overpayment and prepayment in archive invoices.

    Hi Uzair, a few ideas shared in the one post here. It's really best if we can keep each idea separate so we can gather interest in each and keep you updated of change to the product that might resolve what's being asked. 

    In relation to your post here we have a couple of existing ideas you may also like to add your vote for and follow for any updates. 

    In relation to invoices, you'll find when approving invoices you can Approve and view next or Approve and add another. 

    From the draft tab in invoices you can also select multiple invoice and use the Copy to option to create one invoice from a collection of invoices which might help when looking to merge. This way once…

  1. To show the customer's VAT/GST/Sales Tax number on the preview version of the customer's invoice, instead of having to download the PDF to check if it is there (after loading it via Xero Contact).

    Hi Kyle, the product team have been working on improving this area and have released a new invoice preview for the PDF. This will display any details you have included in the selected invoice template, so should display the customer's VAT/GST/Sales Tax number if you've included that. We hope this helps!

    Hi Alex, you'll find this is now possible. The different VAT rates used in the invoice will be shown as subtotals beneath the total invoice amount. With the updates that our team have made to the send experience your customers will also be able to see a quick view breakdown of this in the email they receive 🙂

  3. Ability to select a date that says payment is due upon receipt of this invoice. This is "due date" is used just as much as net terms of 30 days.

    Hi community, returning to the idea right now you could enter a Due Date that's the same as the Invoice Date (or set it to whatever the date is when the invoice is being approved and emailed).

    Additionally if you'd like to specify the text that appears (such as 'This invoice is due upon receipt') you could either:

    • Add this into the ' Terms & Payment Advice (Invoice and Statement)' on a Standard invoice template, or
    • Add this text into the Footer of the invoice template on a Advanced branding theme
  4. When generating a sales invoice for new contact to have the ability to add the primary contact name and email so that email can be emailed to primary contact name without editing the contact first.

    Hi community, sorry we've not looped into this idea sooner. You'll now find with new invoicing that you can add a new contact and their details, or edit a contacts details without having to leave the page. 

    When you add a new contact, this'll open the modal for the Contact card and from here you can add the Contact name, Email, Billing and Delivery addresses, and or phone number. 

  5. Add Company Logo in invoice reminders email

    Purpose : Invoice reminder email would not be treated as spam with company logo in the email

    Hi everyone, super quick turn around here 😁I'm happy to share that the changes for invoice reminders have been pushed live and you should now find invoice reminder emails will include your company logo. This is pulled from the organisation settings, so if you'd like to revise your logo you can do this through the organisations settings page.

  6. For web orders etc there is no way of adding to the invoice that the order has been paid.
    So an option within the Due Date section to choose 'Paid In Full' would eliminate the customer receiving the invoice appearing as if it needs to be settled.

  7. To allow for the statements in the docx set up to have a field for terms. The due date whilst it prints on the statement it is helpful to the client to see their terms

    Hi all, not having any response since my last update we're going to move this idea to delivered. If terms are generally the same you could use Advanced branding and add your payment terms to the docx template as static text so this would be included when sending statements to your customers with that branding applied.

  8. For a company that takes Direct Debits from customers and the receipt appears as one line on the bank statement it would be useful to be able to bulk match the receipt to multiple customers rather than having to manually select every invoice the receipt relates to. You could do this by being able to import invoice payments in the same way you can import invoices into Xero.

  9. Option to Auto Fill Account, Tax Rate, Sales person for all rows. It gets quite time consuming to manually add for each line (even if it is a button at the top of the fields allowing auto fill of all, that would greatly help)

  10. The ability to add or minus a bulk amount on a invoice(not just a discount)
    Percentage

    Would be great so can add fuel levy in or minus a amount off the total of invoice

    Hi all, as previously shared this is possible by adding a new line to your invoice. You can add both positive or negative lines to the invoice to change the total amount.

    Alternatively rather than a line in itself you could use new invoicing to discount each line by a total amount.

  11. The 'new' format has made it exceptionally tedious to accept payments and send receipts. PLEASE streamline it

    • Put the send receipt link back on the payment confirmation page
    • Allow easy tab/character type to select things
    • Open PDFs in browser with the print feature triggered like every other commerce website does. LESS CLICKS!

    Old Style.

    1) Approve the Invoice
    2) Click into payment section. Tab to select account (assuming current balance and date), tab to Reference to enter Check #, and click Add Payment
    3) Click 'Send Receipt' link to send an email invoice to customer (with additional upsell messaging)

    HI team, appreciate your feedback here however there are a few ideas in the one. There was a recent change that we've made for the first point here where you'll find confirmation and option to send receipt is now shown once you've added a payment to an invoice. 

    In relation to printing an invoice - from feedback we received the team have updated this flow so now a PDF of the invoice will be directly downloaded when you click Print, rather than having to go to a separate browser tab. If you'd like this to be a direct action to print from the invoice itself you can follow and join this idea.

    In relation to keyboard entry and tabbing through invoice fields, you can use Tab to move to the next field over and Enter will open the field so you can enter data. We have a larger idea

  12. When sending an invoice from a mobile device, remove the “send me a copy” button, or at least let us make a one time adjustment to stop having to turn it off every single time.

    Appreciate letting us know how we could improve your flow when working from the Xero Accounting app, Joshua. Our team have just released a change for iOS to align with the Android behaviour.

    Now, when you send an invoice or a quote, the 'Send me a copy' field will be unchecked by default.🙂

  13. Not quite sure if this is applicable here, but it would be good if there was a newsletter of sorts to announce any new apps that is released on the Xero App Store. It'll be good if there was a update of sorts whenever a new integration for Xero was released, especially for clients who're still looking for the right app to sign up for.

    Hi community, this is possible for invoices with the use of the discounts column where you'd only enter a discount for particular line items. With new invoicing you'll have the option to enter a discount as either a % or amount. 

    Alternatively if you'd just like Xero to calculate the unit price and not need this shown you could use Xero's inbuilt calculator to enter an equation that'll automatically calculate the price for you based on a given amount. 

    We have a separate thread going for the ability to add discounts to bills (accounts payable invoices) that some of you may like to join for any updates. 

  15. When previewing the attachments / supporting documents, it would be great to be able to move the preview onto a different screen so can more easily mark of items as correct as reviewer, without having to download/ open.

  16. Automatically include PDF of invoice when sending it via Xero Network Key.

    Hi team, pleased to share that with the release of Xero to Xero in invoicing we've also provided the ability to include attachments with your invoice when sending, as well as the option to include a PDF copy of the invoice. See more detail on Xero Central.

    Currently this is live to all regions excepting Singapore which we're just doing a little more work to enable. I'll be back to share when Singapore users can also make use of this feature in Xero.

    Hi team, this is now possible in new invoicing. 🙂

    You'll find when you 'Preview' an invoice in new invoicing if you have applied an advanced branding theme template to the invoice your customised template will be visible.

    Alternatively, you can also Print PDF or use the 'Get link' to view the invoice, too.
