Ability to confirm to a customer that their quote has been accepted & processed as an order. It is either in the process of being made, or waiting in a queue of work to be done.
As the business manager I can look at my order book on a daily basis to see which orders are outstanding and in what priority they should be completed.

Quotes - Delete multiple lines
it would be ideal if you could have the ability to remove / delete costs in the main information tab in a quote. Ie: If you apply a template with a bunch of costs but realise you need to change it - it would be idea to be able to select multiple costs and just remove them from the quote rather than having to go into each individual cost and deletling.

Xero is retiring its WorkflowMax product on 26 June 2024 and has entered into an agreement with tech-led business advisory firm, BlueRock, who are acquiring the brand. As part of this, they have commenced plans to offer a new product. BlueRock’s intent is that their new WorkflowMax product, WorkflowMax by BlueRock will be available to customers in early 2024. To reflect these changes we're moving this idea to 'not planned'.

Quote Template - Condense to single page
Almost every quote/invoice I make ends up having the last little bit of the quote/invoice on the second page, with a huge amount of wasted space on the first page, which looks unprofessional. Having the option within standard invoices to remove the spacing would be amazing. I know you can get around this by using the 'Advanced invoice' option, but that requires a lot more manual work, so it's inconvenient.

Quotes - Permanently Delete Quotes
Ability to delete quotes permanently in Xero.
Purpose: To make the ‘All tab’ didn’t get mixed up with the unused quotes that were supposed to be deleted.
125 votesAppreciate the feedback and interest through the idea here. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at this stage. Current focus is on new invoicing and improving the experience for our users as we edge closer to the retirement of classic invoicing.

Ability to have preview options for quotes
Purpose: To make sure that quotes can be printed nicely.

While not a direct preview button we have provided the ability to 'Get link' from the 3 dot menu in quotes - in the same manner as invoices this will provide you a unique link that you can use to share externally, or open in a new browser tab to preview the quote.
Though not a direct solve for what has been asked in this idea, this was another highly sought after request raised by community.
We believe this option will meet the needs of some on this idea too, but will also continue to track the interest for a Preview option for future consideration. 🙏

Quotes - Title and Summary to flow through to Sales Invoices
Ability to make quote’s title and summary flow through to Sales Invoices.
Purpose: To save users’ time rather than having them manually input the same title and summary when the quotes are converted into invoices.
230 votesHi everyone, we acknowledge your strong interest in this feature, and how enabling 'Title' and 'Summary' fields from a Quote to automatically carry over when you convert it to a Sales Invoice would add more context for your customers.
In lieu of this feature directly, to include this information on your invoices you could currently copy & paste as a description only line within your invoice, or copy into the contents of your email when sending the invoice.
However, we understand this is an extra step that you'd like to eliminate to improve work flow and consistency between quotes and invoices.
We want to be transparent about the current situation. While we appreciate all your feedback and the detailed explanations of how this impacts your businesses, there are no plans to develop this idea at this time.

Quotes - Import/Export ability
Ability to export and import quotes in Xero.
Purpose: Because putting quotes in/from a spreadsheet can make users better calculate future cash flow.
185 votesHi everyone, we recognise the appetite in this idea and thank you for engaging with us on this through product ideas. We understand the efficiency being able to import Quotes to Xero could have for our customers, as well as the ease of use being able to export Quotes like you can invoices. However, with team resource focused elsewhere right now, we want to be honest that import and export of Quotes are not currently in the roadmap.
Right now, for the export of Quotes you could run the Receivable Invoice Details report - We've created a common format available fro the left panel to access 'All quote details'. If you'd like to further filter this you could add a Status filter. Once you Update, you'll find you can export this detail to PDF, Excel or Google Sheets.

Quotes - Remove PDF attachment from email
Ability to remove PDF attachment when emailing quotes from Xero.
Purpose: To make the receiver of the quote click the link instead, so users’ will know that the quotes have been opened. Because if they choose to open the PDF attachment, users’ will not know whether quotes have been opened or not.

Our team are considering this for a future opportunity in Quotes and I want to assure you they are well aware of the idea for this here.
