Xero Accounting app - Notification when quote accepted
when a customer accepts a quotation it would be nice to get a notification in the app so that i know earlier that the quote has been accepted rather than finding the email in my junk mail sometimes up to a week later.....

Quotes - Delete multiple lines
it would be ideal if you could have the ability to remove / delete costs in the main information tab in a quote. Ie: If you apply a template with a bunch of costs but realise you need to change it - it would be idea to be able to select multiple costs and just remove them from the quote rather than having to go into each individual cost and deletling.

Quotes - Permanently Delete Quotes
Ability to delete quotes permanently in Xero.
Purpose: To make the ‘All tab’ didn’t get mixed up with the unused quotes that were supposed to be deleted.
137 votesAppreciate the feedback and interest through the idea here. Being open this isn't something we have plans for at this stage. Current focus is on new invoicing and improving the experience for our users as we edge closer to the retirement of classic invoicing.
We'll continue to keep our eyes on all sales flow ideas in the forums here and will let you know if there's any updates to share on this idea.

Quotes - Preview option
Ability to have preview options for quotes
Purpose: To make sure that quotes can be printed nicely.

While not a direct preview button we have provided the ability to 'Get link' from the 3 dot menu in quotes - in the same manner as invoices this will provide you a unique link that you can use to share externally, or open in a new browser tab to preview the quote.
Though not a direct solve for what has been asked in this idea, this was another highly sought after request raised by community.
We believe this option will meet the needs of some on this idea too, but will also continue to track the interest for a Preview option for future consideration. 🙏

Quotes - Copy partial Quote to an Invoice
Ability to copy some part of quotes into invoice.
Purpose: Users’ can easily send an invoice for the work that clients/customers have done from what’s written on the quote.

Ability to update the date of quote when it’s revised. So the date doesn’t automatically changed by the system.
Purpose: To save users time from changing the date when it’s automatically changed by the system.

Quotes - Title and Summary to flow through to Sales Invoices
Ability to make quote’s title and summary flow through to Sales Invoices.
Purpose: To save users’ time rather than having them manually input the same title and summary when the quotes are converted into invoices.
247 votesHi community, we want to provide an update and let you know we are reviewing these ideas and have a close eye on the support this idea continues to receive.
We understand that for some businesses, a quote’s title and summary are important details that should carry through to an invoice, and appreciate that automating this would improve consistency and reduce manual re-entry.
Right now, Title and Summary aren’t available fields on Xero invoices - Supporting this would first require those fields to be added to invoices, before they could flow through automatically from quotes. From there, the change also needs to be considered across a number of surfaces, such as web, mobile, imports, exports, emails, and more.
To be transparent, this work isn’t currently on our roadmap.
For now, we recommend manually copying these fields from a quote into the description field on a new line within the invoice.

Ability to export and import quotes in Xero.
Purpose: Because putting quotes in/from a spreadsheet can make users better calculate future cash flow.

Quotes - Remove PDF attachment from email
Ability to remove PDF attachment when emailing quotes from Xero.
Purpose: To make the receiver of the quote click the link instead, so users’ will know that the quotes have been opened. Because if they choose to open the PDF attachment, users’ will not know whether quotes have been opened or not.

Our team are considering this for a future opportunity in Quotes and I want to assure you they are well aware of the idea for this here. However, we want to be upfront that we don't have any direct work planned for this right now. We will be sure to share any updates or progress when it comes, with you all here.

Quotes - Convert to a deposit invoice and remaining amount invoice
Ability to convert quotes into invoice & the remaining amount of invoices.
Purpose: Because it helps users invoicing workflow as they often have to keep a separate record of deposits sent / paid and manually calculate the remaining amount to invoice on completion of a project
61 votesHi community, we appreciate the support in this idea and apologise for not engaging here sooner. Thanks for sharing how important this workflow is for your business.
Our current deposits release is focused on approved invoices, where a business can request an upfront deposit and then collect the remaining balance later on that invoice.
However, we know for some businesses this needs to begin earlier from the quote stage. While we consider how we might expand deposits in the longer term we want to be upfront that converting a quote to a deposit and remaining amount invoice isn’t in the roadmap as yet.
We’ll keep this idea updated as there’s more to share on the future of deposits with Xero.

Quotes - Ability to consolidate or merge
Ability to consolidate or merge multiple quotes into another quote.
Purpose: To make clients easily sign through of a single quote, as this usually happens in large projects.
13 votesHi team, we appreciate support for being able to combine or merge multiple existing quotes.
To update here, this isn't something we have any plans around at this time, and not getting a lot of traction overtime we will soon remove this from the forums.
The best option right now would be to open the largest quote and add lines from the others to this and then delete the others. Thanks
