AU Payroll | Superannuation - Set up auto payment with a credit card

Have automatic superannuation payments be able to be paid via credit card, through xero. Currently there seems to only be the ability to make automatic payment via direct debit but it would be good if it could be made by a credit card.

Hi everyone, we appreciate and understand the desire to use a credit card for Auto Super payments.

We've looked into the possibility of introducing this feature. However, Australian regulations currently do not support credit cards as a payment method for Superannuation. Until these regulations change we’re unable to develop this feature.

For this reason we’ll be changing the status of this idea to Not in pipeline. We’ll continue to monitor regulations in this area and will revisit this idea if the situation changes. Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback with us.

    Can we have this facility added. Our business would prefer to pay super via credit card.

    This needs to be implemented to assist small businesses. Even government customers can be slow to process and pay their invoices and this would give a little more time.

    Very keen to use Xero Super Clearing but we pay with our credit card. Please look into making this happen as this really does suit a lot of businesses.

    Yes, please add this; my boss now wants to pay the super with Amex and I cannot find out how. We used to be able to do this, but now we have STP and, well...!!

    I don't want to have to set up all our employees in another clearing house so we can use our credit card. Has the use of credit cards to pay auto super been implemented yet?

    We hope this gets attention, as using credit card would be a good alternative for paying superannuation when fund on main account is not yet available.

    In case this option becomes up and running, it will also be a good idea to add bank account details in case there is a refund.

    It would be very useful if credit card were permitted to pay for superannuation when using the XERO clearing house.

    Hi, Is it possible to pay super using EFT instead of direct debit? We have international clients who wish to pay for super using parent company bank accounts and this creates much problems with paying super through Xero and we have had to use other clearing houses instead

    What was your response a could not locate.

    XERO is holding back businesses for being flexible in utilise credit options.

    Have this change implemented please

    With todays financial world the use of CC is most essential. You pay tax and other govt entities so WHY NOT SUPER!.

    XERO a simple change for you guys, get on with it!
