UK Payroll - List contacts in alphabetical order, by Surname
It would help if the list of emplyees were sorted in alphabet order, by Surname.
Hi everyone, thanks so much for sharing your thoughts on the order employees are listed.
We’ve recently updated the Employee list page so you can now sort employees by multiple fields, including surname, employee number, and email address, and other columns. This should make it easier to find and review the employees you need in the order that best suits your workflow.
Thank you again for your feedback and for helping us continue to improve Xero Payroll.

Recently transferred from Sage payroll to Xero and it would be really helpful to have employees in the order of payroll number rather than first name alphabetical order. A choice of employee order would be ideal so that you can also choose to show in surname alphabetical order.

Whilst we are very pleased with our transfer over to Xero from Sage, we are getting more and more frustrated with Xero Payroll. This is mainly due to it's inflexibility - cannot list employees by alphabetical surname, cannot print reports off in alphabetical surname, holidays in hours (???), holidays not being updated until the payroll has been posted, and the list goes on. We have now made the decision to go back to Sage Payroll at sometime in the near future. One other reason, total lack of response from Xero on this matter :-(

Having recdeived NOTHING back for Xero on this subject, we are now considering reverting to Sage Payroll. Very frustrating not being able to sort employees by surname, and having holidays in hours causes more work. At least Sage Payroll was user friendly.
