Following up on my last post—I’m excited to share that we’ve officially begun the rollout of the new Products & Services permissions ( https://central.xero.com/s/article/User-role-access-to-inventory-in-Xero?userregion=true ) for the Invoice Only role!

Currently this is rolled out to 50% of users, so many of you will already see these new options in your settings:

• No access
• View
• View and create/edit
• View, create/edit, and adjust stock

We’re monitoring the rollout closely and expect to release to all users very soon. I’ll be back with one final update as soon as the feature is available to everyone 🙏

Hi Community! 👋 we’re progressing well with our inventory permissions development, with plans to progressively roll this out early in the new year. We’ll be providing a Products & services permissions set for the Invoice only role.

You’ll have the ability to choose;

• No access
• View
• View and create/edit
• View, create/edit and adjust stock

Thanks for all your input and sharing how we can improve Xero’s user roles to cater for the needs of your business and staff you’d like to provide this access for.

As you may have seen in other ideas we’ve been conducting some research into user roles across all of Xero. As a step on from this, one of our teams are beginning a deeper dive into solving this idea here and enabling more roles access to Products & services (Inventory) in Xero.

While this may take sometime to accomplish we wanted to provide an update to you all interested in this, and we’ll keep you informed of further progress as the team begin looking into it.
