Navigation - Rename Sales and Purchases to Payments and Receipts
The new tabs are nominated as Purchases and Sales but some of their sub tabs go beyond that. I would prefer to label them Payments and Receipts

Multicurrency - Option to not assign Tracking Categories to Bank Revaluation
Currently our monthly bank revaluation FX diff is being automatically coded by Xero to be split between tracking categories rather than simply being "unassigned". However, for our purposes, once USD are banked, they no longer "belong" to that tracking category and instead are general company funds. It is impossible to tell Xero to stop coding revaluation amounts to tracking categories but this doesn't make sense for the accounts, especially when a tracking category finished within the business months ago. MFA - Move cursor to code field automatically
When I login to Xero, I enter my email address and password and am taken to the second page (MFA).
I'm then asked for the authenticator code, but I have to click into the field to enter the code.
Xero knows that there is an almost 100% likelihood that the first (and only) thing I am going to do on that page is enter the MFA code.
Xero should automatically have the cursor in that field so that I can type the code without clicking into the field.

Organisation settings - Change base currency
It is remarkably convoluted to change the base currency even when no transactions have been posted. It only seems to be possible by cancelling the subscription and starting again. I rely on clients purchasing the software and it is not unknown for them to enter an incorrect base currency. I have used other systems where changing the base currency is very quick and easy. I suggest you make this a little easier.

Demo Company - Prioritise Demo Company for new feature rollouts
Could the Demo Company please be updated first when new features are being rolled out. Often want to test how a new feature works (eg the current Investment Boost in Fixed Assets) or take the Staff through training on the new features, without having to do this in a Client's live data.
If the Demo Company can have the features first, then can do testing and training of staff before see in the Client's live data.

Homepage - Icons for shortcuts to features
Create a "widget" with a customizable icon shortcuts to have it where you can click on one button and get you to where you need to go instead of navigation through menus. Have a way to only show which icons appear. For me, it would be "invoices, expenses, refunds, chart of accounts, and inventory". See the attached mock up of what I'm talking about. It would be so nice to have shortcuts right there on the homepage.

Totally get it's not exactly what you're suggesting here but just as a highlight around shortcuts there are a few that can be used anywhere in Xero to help you quickly navigate to some features such as '/a' to get to the all bank accounts screen, or '/e' to go to all employees 😊

Navigation - Add shortcut to Tracking in the Accounting dropdown
When will the ability to add a shortcut to the settings like "tracking category" and "Fixed Assets" to the "accounting" dropdown menu be re-activated like you could do with the old task bar, or is this another case of "we don't care about our customers bookkeeper's productivity being lost" as all the other dropdown menus appear to have all the shortcuts?

You should see Fixed Assets within the Accounting menu already. However, you are correct that accessing Tracking Categories requires an additional click and are shown under the Accounting Settings option.

Make "Products and services" available under Sales, Purchases, and Accounting
Ideally you should have access to products via:
=> Sales (apply filter to show only goods you sell)
=> Purchases (apply filter to show only goods you buy)

Displaying/Managing XPM/HQ User permissions in table format (bulk update)
In our firm, all staff have been added to groups, i.e. client services, accountants, smsf, advisory etc. Each group has set Xero access permissions, so being able to manage in bulk/group/team would be beneficial for us.
Request: To be able to view and update user permissions in bulk by viewing in table format.
Also being able to filter by 'Team'.See attached.

To whom it may concern, my post is not an idea but rather a request for you to consider extending your UK based XERO product to jurisdictions where UK accounting practices have been adopted and reporting currency is GBP.
I am an AAT qualified accountant of approximately 30 years. latest update removal
Please remove the latest update on Xero: when you copy an invoice it automatically opens a new tab on my laptop. I have more than 20 invoices to post everyday, I do not wish to have 20 tabs on my screen in the end. Not every update is a good update. When you don't have a better update, it's better to just maintain it.

That the search function can find something entered in a bill description field
Please add to the search function, that it can find something entered in a bill description field. Eg. We have a 14 or 30-day account with several suppliers. So on entering a bill, we enter the bill number in the Reference field. Then say we enter Shredder or Blower in the Description field.
If several months down the track the shredder or blower is faulty, we can't find the bill easily. Have to manually open every Bunnings or Officeworks bill & look at the transaction.

User role - Public view ( GDPR SAFE )
I’d like to propose a “view-only” feature that would be fully GDPR-compliant and suitable for organisations that manage sensitive financial information—such as block management companies handling residents’ funds.
The idea is to allow every shareholder or resident to view the accounts and understand where money is being spent, while ensuring that all personal data is hidden. For example, where an individual apartment appears in the ledger, identifying information would be removed. To avoid jigsaw identification, each apartment could be linked to a classification matrix—for instance, showing it as a two-bedroom unit paying $2,000 per year—without revealing the resident’s identity. User Role - Access to specific feature only
"Business and accounting" role needs ability to more narrowly define. I want an employee to access invoices (receivables) but that then gives them access to ALL financial reporting, e.g. P&L, which I don't want them to see.

As you may have seen in some of our recent updates across other user roles ideas we’re currently in the process of adding more permissions within Reporting and Inventory. Further to this our research has highlighted Payroll and Banking as areas that more controls are most needed, and are on our agenda as we continue to develop permissions and access to features.
Your feedback here and through direct engagements with our teams have been extremely insightful, and we appreciate all your inputs.

Product Ideas Notifications - enable/disable per post
Currently Product Idea notifications are either enabled or disabled.
Which means I get a ridiculous amount of emails for every single product idea I've ever commented or voted on. And given Xero's inability to actually resolve any of these issues, the number of notifications is going up and up.
Currently, because of the amount of complaints about the new homepage my inbox is full every morning.
I don't want any more notifications reminding me how bad the new home page is. However, I do want notifications on a lot of the other 'Product Ideas' that I am following.

Dashboard - Edit dashboard layout
Dashboard- It would be great if Xero gave us more options to edit out Dashboards. Two colums are not enough, at the most I get to see four accounts before I have to scroll, they needn't be so large either. If they had three colums, and we could shrink the size of the 'boxes' then we could easily see a better snapshot of work to do and where the business is at.

As you may have seen or perhaps even have access to already - over the coming months we are releasing a new Xero Homepage that'll replace the existing Dashboard.
We've done lots of research and testing with our customers for the new homepage. You'll be able to customise to show which widgets you want, and it's built with updated technology so is much more responsive - adapting based on your device, screen size and zoom functions to show a maximum of 4 widgets side-by-side!

XAA - Log each login when using the App
Amazed to discover that a 'login' from the app on a mobile phone using biometrics for example, does not count as a 'login' at all and is classified by Xero as an 'unlocking' event, but this is not logged or tracked at all (that we users can see). So in effect the 'Login History' in 'Settings' is completely flawed. This is also not recognised in 'History & Notes' unless the user actually makes changes. So if they are just in there viewing stats etc. they are invisible. This is really not ideal.

Navigation - Access Product & Services from both Sales and Purchases
I think the new menu bar is great as its closer to the original layout from about 9-10 years ago.
But super annoying that I can only access Products & Services via Sales.
All our purchasing is run through Xero, all our sales is run via external POS that we import summary csv, not detail, so no products or services.
Seeing as the new navigation bar is already quite full and having a separate productions option is not visually viable, would it not make sense to have the Products and Services link feature in both Sales & Purchases?

user permission
I am looking to restrict staff members from accessing Xero on unauthorised devices. This will ensure that only company issued devices are used to access Xero. Could Xero please consider this as a quick win?
