  3. Ability to set reminders/notifications to raise next invoice in Xero Projects

    When raising the quote, which details the scheduled dates that the customer will be invoiced, it would be useful if you could set a reminder/notification on the project to tell you when to prepare and send the next invoice out.

  5. The Xero bulk invoice import template makes provision to allow for the population of data into the available tracking categories that would correspond to same inside Xero. However, is it possible to do same with a project? Xero have since confirmed it is not possible to include project allocations when importing invoices.

    We have a high frequent need to import bulk lines of data each representing individual invoices, and we wish to use Xero projects, but need to be able to allocate the bulk upload of these invoices to the applicable projects inside Xero.

  6. Hi - could the Timer appear on other Xero pages, not just the Projects page? So when the timer is started, it stays on the screen when we move between Dashboard, Business, Accounting etc. That would be great. Thanks.

  7. It would be helpful to link our 2 tracking categories together. As it stands, we've got departments within our business as tracking category 1, and divisions as category 2. It would be so helpful if we could put default links in place, as each department links directly to a specific division in the business. That way, when we go to post sales & purchase invoices to the ledger, once a division is added to the tracking category field, the division is automatically populated.

  8. I am needing to import my payroll expenses from another payroll platform in the form of a manual journal. I need those payroll expenses to be tracked by project. It would be handy to be able to have a column for projects instead of a tracking category.

  10. It would be great to have a way of linking expenses on a project to an individual task so your invoices and quotes are much more streamlined and broken down into the tasks (especially when working on larger projects with many tasks and expenses)

    Something along the line of:
    when entering an estimated expense/expense into the project as well as having all the current tabs, having a another tab to 'assign to task' . When generating a quote/invoice you will then only have the task name and it will have combined the hours and materials listed.

  11. In the older Project Report function it was possible to select the Supplier Name. This option is now not available in the newer Project Financials report. This is useful as it allows supplier engagement for a specific project to be monitored and avoids the need to perform other more long-winded searches.

  12. To add Sort and Filter into Quotes & Invoices and Task & expenses inside a Project, so we can filter by Price/Status/Draft/Awaiting payment/Paid or sort we we want it

  13. When developing a quote via Projects, we can add in an estimated cost and then enter a margin to give an estimated expense. However we cannot then retrospectively see what the original supplier cost is and therefore profit expected. Neither does it offer a field to enter who the supplier is. The Project financial reports have a header to show 'estimated cost' but it does not populate this field. The only time a cost is shown is if it is entered as an actual expense.

  14. To show the invoice line detail in project reporting rather than a consolidated invoice line.

    You have to allocate each individual line on the invoice to a project but on the project report it consolidates to just one line which doesn't make sense when you put the level of detail at the invoice that it doesn't pull through that detail to the project reporting.

  16. I would really like to be able to allocate my expenses to a project within the app.
    If I add a receipt via the app, (which for me is the most efficient way to add expenses) I then have to go online, find the transaction, edit it and resave it, in order to sign it to a project. This is frustratingly inefficient and doubles the time it takes to input a purchase!
    Could you please add this ability to the app?

  17. When converting xero projects / Invoice

    6 employees work for the last month gets dumped on to the invoice in alphabetical order and from the latest date they worked

    The client needs to see this in cronological order and with each task for the said date

    eg

    1 July

    Dave
    Fred
    jim

    2 july
    Dave
    Fred
    Jim

    At the moment this task of ordering said invoices can take about half an hour of ferrying each transaction up and down the page. Before Editing

    So needs a filter button installed to do this please

    Hi team, while we began work on developing the ability search and sort by tasks in Projects the teams focus had to shift to other priority work and we want to be open that this has been put down for now. 

    When there is the ability to pick this back up we'll return to share with you here. 

  20. Staff members gets pay reviews each year, which means their cost change. But we are unable to get the change to commence from a certain date so reporting for prior year projects won't be accurate. any way we can put a change commencement date so reporting is more accurate?
