  1. Right now there’s no functionality in Xero Projects to transfer or "reallocate" funds from one Project to another.

    As a charity, from time-to-time we need to reallocate funds from one project to another (for example if we have not received enough money to complete a particular project we reallocate the funds assigned to that project to a similar one to honor our donor's preferences).

    I have tried looking in Manual Journals but there is no option there either. The only option I can find is to locate each invoice or "receive money" and change the project allocation. This is tedious…

  2. Looking for a report under a project where I can have a breakdown of all invoices with dates and gross total paid for a specific supplier - I've been told this is not available and yet all the information is in the system but no report available

  4. In the last week the ability to add multiple tasks to new employees has been taken away, you can still add all jobs but without the ability to add all tasks or some as well that feature is now useless.

    please can you tell me why this has been removed and bring it back asap. I have staff unable to complete time sheets at the moment.

  6. You are currently unable to see the projects within the contacts tab against a contact within Xero.
    This would be really helpful as I have some customers that have several projects on the go at one time. This would make it easier to go from one project to another for one client. It would also be a quick reference location. The added quotes, invoices and credit notes added to the contact has been a great step in simplifying contact management - the project listing would complete the loop.

  7. I would love to group select untracked expenses in Projects then drag and drop them into their expense category

    If the untracked expense could sit in one column and the expense category in another that would be amazing so you can easily reference the category then drop accross from column to column

  10. I would like to track labour costs in project without invoicing them. The invoicing is done differently. It goes per bag packed, but I would like to know how much on labour it costs to pack the bags. Thank you.

  11. The ability to add a Project (Revenue) Variation would be a huge help.
    If one can add a project (cost) variation using a Task, adding a Revenue variation should be achievable in Xero

When I assign supplier invoices to a project then charge the client those amounts and get paid, at the moment to then go and pay those supplier invoices after being payed by the client I have to note down all the invoice numbers then go into bills to pay and find all the invoices to create a batch payment. it would be helpful to be able to pay the bills attached to the invoice through the project tab or even be able to select an invoice in the bills tab and have it show all the bills attached to that…

  13. Adding a Categories/Tracking column to the transactions Dashboard. this would highlight the fact that a category label is missing. so when running the budget variances the report would include ALL the transactions for a specific category.

  14. Projects- Add date project is started in xero and the name of who started it. This will help us to be able to determine how many days a job took from order date to completion.
    We will also be able to tell who started the project if we need further information about it. Something like the 'History and Notes' in the Invoices, where there is a record of who generated the 'Project' and on what date and who makes changes along the way would be perfect.   17. Projects - it would be really helpful if we could select Projects as favourites (with the star like in reports) so when we click on the Projects heading we see our favourites in the drop down list, like we do with reports we use frequently. See image for example.

  18. When converting xero projects / Invoice

    6 employees work for the last month gets dumped on to the invoice in alphabetical order and from the latest date they worked

    The client needs to see this in cronological order and with each task for the said date

    eg

    1 July

    Dave
    Fred
    jim

    2 july
    Dave
    Fred
    Jim

    At the moment this task of ordering said invoices can take about half an hour of ferrying each transaction up and down the page. Before Editing

    So needs a filter button installed to do this please

  19. We charge our consultants at a different cost rate per customer project and pay them a different cost rate per engagement. This is negotiated with them at the start of the gig and applies only to that Project.

    I want to set a different staff rate per project per staff member.
