Add minor functionality adjustments to Tax Manager to retain functions that exist in old Tax Returns view
In the old Tax Returns view, I used to leave returns in 'Filed' until assessments were received, check the assessments, then tick the assessed returns and archive in a single bulk lot. All of this was achieved on a single page of the view.
In the new Tax Manager view, the assessments view has no tick boxes or functionality to archive returns, and the 'filed' view has no column or visibility on which returns have been assessed vs which are still pending. In addition, the 'filed' view defaults to 'all returns' including archived, rather than defaulting to 'filed' returns which would be a more logical default view.
My suggestions are some or all of the below:
Adding tick-boxes next to clients in the Notices of Assessment tab to allow bulk archiving directly from that view
Setting the default view in the Filed tab to show 'filed only' rather than 'all'.
Adding an 'Assessment Status' column to the Filed view within the Filed tab, so you can identify which returns have received their Notice of Assessment versus those still pending - so that returns can be bulk ticked and archived from within that view.
Thanks for sharing this idea, Jen. We understand the request for bulk archiving from the Notices of Assessment tab and an Assessment Status column. Having these options in Tax Manager could make it easier to manage completed returns without moving between different views.
I’ve updated the status to Gaining Support so we can continue tracking community interest. If this could improve your workflow, add your vote and let us know which part of the post-filing process you’d find most useful.
Regarding your suggestions on Tax Manager default view, I've created a separate idea for this and added your vote there.

Would really love this to be implemented before the old 'tax returns' view is completely phased out. Otherwise, the number of unarchived ITRs with no issues will drive me crazy haha.
