Hubdoc - Warning when drag & dropping folders
I find it very easy to accidentally drag and drop folders into another folder in the documents list and then it's gone before you even notice which folder it was or which folder it got dropped into. Please please please add a pop-up query when a folder is dropped into another folder - "do you really want to do this?"

The contact card has a drop down box where you can create a NEW invoice/bill etc. Please could RECEIVE MONEY be added to this shortcut?

Contact - Sales Tax Exempt Customer Certificates Management
Sales Tax exempt form management in the U.S.A. Currently every year we have to manually ask and upload customers sales tax exempt certificates and update their tax status so we charge or don't charge sales tax. Would be nice to have a some sort of system where the customer is notified once a year and self uploads their tax exempt certificate which is linked to thier contact information. This would save alot of hours.

Contact - Ability to add date of birth
I have multiple clients who have members. They like to keep their members date of births on file, so they can send them birthday emails, or if they are over a certain age can get a discounted membership. It would be great to have either a dedicated date of birth field, or like some other accounting softwares a few open fields, that we could name per file, for additional required details, like date of births, member types, allergies, voting member etc. I'm sure these fields could be useful for other types of businesses as well.

Hubdoc - Upload additonal attachments to transactions
It would be very useful if we could upload any supporting documentation for invoices or bills as attachments in Hubdoc. At the moment, I upload the invoice in Hubdoc and then have to add any supporting documentation in Xero directly.

Hubdoc - Auto-Archive for specific supplier
I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

Contacts - Cater for direct credit details
The same way a direct debit file is created for Creditors, it would be great if Xero could create a direct credit file for Debtors. We direct credit over 200 debtor accounts weekly. As Xero isnt able, we do it externally and use a bank template. If Xero can creatre a direct debit file, I dont see why it cant create a direct credit file. The only change is the bank ID. Our previous clunky software could do it and banks are able to upload a direct credit file.

When adding a new Customer have a field at that time to place the new customer into a Group.

Hubdoc - Add/edit line items in the mobile app
I want to be able to add and edit line items in the Hubdoc mobile app so that I can process more complex invoices/bills on my mobile device. Currently I need to use the web app for this and the UX of the whole interface there is very poor – basically just the desktop interface but rendered much smaller – so the experience is quite painful.

Hubdoc - Quick view of outstanding receipts
Simplified view of outstanding receipts that need to be processed to the accounting software ie numbers reflected in the top tabs.

Hubdoc - Automate receipt publishing rules
I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

Hubdoc - extract customer name for sales invoices
At the moment Hubdoc extracts supplier name only which makes it tricky to use for processing sales invoices as the customer has to be manually selected and has no default settings. If Hubdoc could also extract customer name, it would really help with AR processing.

smart capture create transaction awaiting payment
The new Smart Capture feature in Xero Files is a great step forward, but one key limitation is currently preventing us from fully moving away from Hubdoc.
At the moment, when Smart Capture creates a bill, it can only be published as a draft. There doesn’t appear to be any option to choose the bill status during the creation process.
In Hubdoc, we can choose the status before publishing, for example:
• Draft
• Awaiting Approval
• Awaiting PaymentThis is extremely useful for workflow management and automation.
With Smart Capture in Xero Files, every bill has to be manually…

draft bill
To be able to create an approved bill directly from the file inbox, rather than only being able to create a draft bill which then needs to be approved. These extra steps increase the time taken to create and approve bills and increases the risk of draft bills being missed.

Contact Details - Notes Box
Can't highlight select specific text within the Contact Details - Notes Box to edit Contact information - when attempting to select part of the existing text to highlight so I can copy or delete this, however all the text below is highlighted and the screen rolls down or up when attempting to do this... it's so frustrating & annoying as the only work around for this is to copy the entire text & paste to Apple Mac text notes on another screen, so I can then edit the text and copy back into the Client Details - Notes Box in…

Adding a Statement TAB to Contacts
Dear Xero Team,
It would be very helpful to have a separate "Statement" tab for each contact to upload statements received from suppliers or contractors for accounts payable.
I recommend adding this tab under the existing Contacts section, alongside the current tabs for Bills, Purchase Orders, Receive Money, and Spend Money.

Adding job titles to contacts
adding in an additional field where a job title can be put with a contact. Having multiple contacts for one company, it would be helpful to put who is the contact for finance / quotes / receptionist etc

The new xero files screen is awful and it takes me double the time to do anything.
I enter the invoice red in file screen and it doesn’t pull through to the draft so I need to do it again, I have to catergorise every line on a small bill whereas previously it would have been block entered if it was for the same nominal, no option to copy from purchase order so that now has to be manually marked as billed, having to go through the additional step of approving a draft takes longer and no option to code…2 votesThanks for submitting your idea on Xero Product Ideas. Smart Capture - images from email signature captured as files
We're experiencing issues when an invoice is emailed in - Smart Capture adds any images in an email signature to Xero files as a document. These .png or .jpeg files are logos or social media buttons in the email signature.
I've emailed in 2 invoices to test the function and now have 14 files to review. If I ask my client to email in receipts these additional images will need to be reviewed and deleted one by one to check they aren't an invoice or receipt; this wastes time. We also use Dext for invoice processing and don't experience this…
