  1. It would be good for the lower scroll bar to display when a screen is minimised (in contacts). Currently, if you minimise the screen (as I do when I am comparing entries in another external on-line tab, for example, with my HMRC account, or my on-line bank account) you can only see the left of the minimised screen. The information does not compact into a full but smaller screen, neither is there a scroll button to scroll the information to the right.   2. I own several different businesses that are set up as separate organizations within xero, but they are all in the same industry and there is quite a bit of crossover of contacts between the businesses. As I understand it currently, each business will have its own unique address book, so if I update John Smith's phone number in Company A, it will not update in Company B. This makes no sense to me. There should be a universal contact book where we can select whether or not we want a company to use that universal set of contacts.

  3. Better documentation for BankAccountNumber needed.

    The documentation for importing contacts is not clear, specifically how to include banking details.

    First time users, such as myself, could be greatly assisted if the documentation for the BankAccountNumber was described as <bsb><space><account number>.

    I did a large number of documentation and Google searches before it clicked that the BSB and account number are both specified in the BankAccountNumber field. This is not obvious.

  4. I would like to see the specifics of the contacts activity on the main page of the contact. Currently you need to click on each transaction to see where the transaction was allocated. It would be nice to see it all on one page. It would be helpful if it was editable from that page as well. Instead you have to click again to edit the transaction. Currently in Quickbooks you can view/edit from the main client screen. I always appreciate less clicks. :D

  5. Currently this badge is displayed for the additional people only when there's at least a first name associated with them, but often our "additional people" are only email addresses with no first/last names, an the only way to see whether the "included in emails" option has been enabled for them is to enter two nested edit modes (4 clicks total). This is really unnecessary. Just display the badge if the box has been checked!

  6. it would be great to be able to have multiple reference numbers for one contact, so that way if you have multiple jobs for one company, it can be under the same name. instead of having to make up multiple contacts for the same person.

  7. When in the contact section and viewing the activity tab, it would be useful to be able to view PDF invoice from that screen rather than click on an invoice and click the attachment tab (similar to the function in bills to pay).

  8. In the UK most agent management statements show both the rental income and the cost of sales for their fees, and any expenses incurred on behalf of the landlord.
    is it possible to be able to enter this through Hubdocs as a single document

  9. I believe it would be of great help to extract the Purchase Order code from the invoice into hubdoc.

    It is very important to create a simple path from the begging of creating a purchase order to finally paying for the product or service and having a way to connect it all together, I believe the purchase order number is a vital part of the process and can be referenced throughout the whole process.

    Would be great to hear some feedback on this idea!

  10. We deal with different people in purchasing, accounting, owners, etc for each account. Contact records are being treated as Account records. This makes it very difficult to keep track of all people we need to do business with within an account.

  12. Ability : To have a function within contact to block raising purchase orders to an individual supplier.

    Purpose: To ensure no future orders are placed with suppliers, who we may have had issues with previously. Easier to have a function that would automatically flag this, as opposed to placing note within contact and relying on all to find this information.

  13. When creating a new contact in Hubdoc for Xero, it would be great if there was an option to add the contact details (address, phone, email, tax ID, bank details, etc) right then. Hubdoc could read the information from the invoice and populate it on the spot rather than my having to remember who I added on the fly, go find the information again, and then manually type it all in myself.

  14. I create new contacts all the time, often while creating an invoice. I usually only have a few details on hand to start creating the contact (name, email, phone number). So I flick between windows, copying from one and pasting into Xero's "create new customer" dialogue right there on the invoice edit screen.

    It's the phone number I have the most trouble with. If there are any space characters in the (usually mobile) phone number I have copied - and there pretty much always are spaces when copying from an email or whatever - then nothing will paste into the…

  15. I was recently asked by a client how create a formatted PDF list of their contacts in Xero with addresses, telephone numbers, email addresses etc.

    They had been asked for this by their factoring provider.

    I know they can select all contacts and use the option at the top of the screen to export, but that creates a csv file which obviously doesn't have any formatting and runs the risk of it being opened in Excel which then messes up phone numbers etc (we are in the UK where phone numbers start 0 and Excel 'helpfully' removes this when opening…

    Thanks for the extra detail, Ross and apologies I never rounded back on this here. While we also don't have plans for creating a report that includes all the detail from a contacts record atm I've slightly adjusted the title of your idea here and we'll continue to track interest in this here. If any plans are made down the line I'll be sure to let you know on the idea here.

  17. When viewing a contact, the options to "add group" and "remove group" are two separate functions, making moving a contact from one group to another very clunky. This request is to combine the add/remove feature, so you can simply select/unselect which groups a contact is in. This would mean that to move a contact from one group to another, you would simply deselect the old group checkbox and check the new group checkbox.

  19. Contacts. I would like to say the upgraded version of contacts is clunky, and would prefer the older system over this 'new upgraded' system. Having to 'save and exit' before adding all other contact details is adding more steps to an otherwise simple process. Thanks

    Hi Vashte, appreciate change can take a little getting used to.

    However, we can help you out here! While the Save and exit is always available when adding or editing a contact you can simply click through each section. 

    The detail you enter between section will hold until you leave the page - So, you can enter in all your details before selecting Save and exit. 

  20. At the moment there is a glaring issue with Xero files and HubDoc files, that the subscriber/owner of each can be different, even though the HubDoc file is integrated with the Xero file and is "paid for" by virtue of the Xero subscription.

    This means it's possible for someone to lose access to their HubDoc account, even if they are the subscriber of their Xero file. Nightmare.
