  1. Would be great to be able to assign a special rate to a particular client so that rate generates each time you invoice that client and also add tick box to mark as bad debtor which flags them up.

    Hi Denise, thanks for sharing this idea! We can see how a “Bad Debtor” flag could be a really useful tool for managing risk. When your business is busy, you don’t want to accidentally extend credit to a customer who’s already significantly overdue.

    Right now, the absence of an automated alert means staff often have to double-check a customer’s payment history or risk raising an invoice for someone who should be on a stop-credit list.

    As a short-term option, you can use the Contact Notes field. Adding a note to a contact makes it visible when viewing their details, though it doesn’t yet “pop up” during invoicing.

    Regarding your idea on default rates, you can already assign a default discount rate to contact records. You can also use the Untrack Items feature to make data entry faster and reduce manual effort.

  2. When printing a specific supplier/customer under contact information it would be great if there is a selection option that only shows invoices and payments ONLY and NOT including the payment allocation. This makes it easier to print and send out without confusing them.

  3. Easy way to see total money spend or money received for a contact for a set date range (year to date, this month, custom range). Ideally, be able to track this vs other contacts in the dashboard, eg, highest spending customer, most important suppliers etc. All the data is there but currently requires creating a report or exporting to a spreadsheet which is counterproductive. Really surprised it’s not a feature already to be honest as I was doing this in spreadsheets before migrating into Xero.

We would be keen to get some more information on the scenarios that you find yourself in where the back button in the interface as compared to the browser would be useful.   5. I want to be able to run a report of the quantity of a specific item that my contact or a group of contacts sell in a specific time period. not dollar amount, but an actual item or group of items.

    Thanks for your suggestion about reporting on the quantity of items sold per contact or contact group over a given period (rather than just the total dollar value). At the moment, Xero doesn’t have a specific report that shows “item quantity by contact or contact group”, and this isn’t on our current roadmap for inventory or reporting. Today, some customers approximate this using the Receivable Invoice Details report or Sales by Item report with filters and external pivots, but we know that’s not as simple as having a dedicated report.

    This idea is still open for votes and If this work does move onto the roadmap in future, we’ll post an update on this idea.

  6. For users who do not use Xero to create invoices, automatically create customers and suppliers based on receipts or payments in bank reconciliation.

    Hi Gary, just to better understand your idea here. Is it mainly that you'd like to classify a contacts as a customer or supplier based on spend and receive money transactions?

    Right now, as you may be aware you can easily create a new contact while reconciling, however the contact will only be classed as a customer or supplier based on the type of transacti9ons that are entered for them.

    We have an existing idea around this I could merge your feedback in with?

  7. Configure Publish As options to exclude some options.
    We never post Sales Invoices, but sometimes supplier invoices are incorrectly publish as Invoice(AR).
    This is lengthy to undo.
    I would like to configure HubDoc to exclude the Invoice(AR) option

  8. add to show the planned date for payment on the contact page where you can see all the bills as an option for the columns. so we can see if we have set up payment for each of the bills in the contact page for each contact/supplier.

  9. The HubDoc Ui/Ux is outdated, we all know it. But its a good product. With the addition of the "Upload Bills" feature to Xero, it would make sense to just bring the full functionality of HubDoc right into the Ui of Xero rather than invest in the standalone product of HubDoc. It keeps us on one screen within Xero and eliminates all the nuances of the sync/integration.

    Maintaining backup to DropBox or Google Drive is key though. That makes it feel like a 'safe' backup method for receipts.

  11. Just wanted to feedback some issues found during brief testing of Hubdoc (as potential replacement for Dext; we'll not be proceeding at this stage) ... here's what we found:
    - different naming conventions - “Credit Note/Refund” equivalent (not sure what it is?) not as intuitive
    - for multi-line entries, it doesn’t tell you what the remaining balance on a bill is (it does provide running total of lines entered but requires external 'calc' action)
    - clunkier on mobile phone - have to log in each time whereas Dext is just snap and go
    - no option to do multiple page…

    Appreciate your feedback, Rich. It really helps if each idea you is raised separately. This way others know exactly what they're adding their vote for here in community, our product teams can get a sense of interest in a particular feature and we can keep users updated if there are plans made specifically for that functionality.

  12. The current implementation of "Who posted" information appears below the image in small text, which is easy to miss. We believe it would be more effective and user-friendly to display this information prominently at the top of the scan in larger text.

    Hi Sebastian, so just checking you're idea here are you saying you'd like this data to be entered within Reference field of the invoice that's created when you publish a document from Hubdoc to Xero?

  14. I wonder if it is possible to implement the following simple change to Hubdoc. Currently, when an invoice is downloaded from Hubdoc, the file name is complied as <supplier name><date><amount>. It would be much better to replace <amount> with an invoice number. It often happens the payment batches are being sent to authorisers outside Xero, so an ability to provide a list of sorted files would be great. It also makes an invoice search outside Xero much easier.

  15. I just started using this program and the ability to close the left-hand menus is needed, at minimum the ability to adjust the column width.

    When the "Folders" and "Docs" menus are both open constantly with no way of adjusting them, I lose almost 1/2 the screen.

    The webpage is basically broken up into 4 columns, yet there is no way to adjust any of them for a better user experience or easy viewing of documents. Currently it is impossible to view all of the information needed for individual docs without moving the document around a bunch. It's a very…

  16. Xero app - Adding a Receipt - check if image/s are fully uploaded before the Save button is enabled/allowed or run a check when the Save button is selected and if image/s are not fully uploaded alert user to wait.

    Xero app - Adding a Receipt - auto compress images larger than x size.

    The Xero app is incredibly slow when uploading images eg; receipt scans. These are not expenses, the expense app works differently and is much faster but I can't use it for business receipts as they are not 'claims'. It has become slower each time I've upgraded…

  18. Being able to see a map with the location pins for each customer and sort them by the various Xero groups, would be invaluable. This would enable us to easily visualise our national/global coverage to help better understand regional product usage. As a business that provides products to public locations, it would also be an efficient way to reference existing installations near to new enquiries for them to reference.

  20. When you use the cog in Hubdoc to update supplier information e.g. payment terms it use to being up the supplier, but it has recently stopped doing this. Now you have to search for the supplier to update and this takes time and is frustrating, especially as you use to be able to do this. Please put back this facility.
