  1. I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

  2. Currently the 'attach files' function in the Products and Services (Inventory) only allows attachment of files outside of Xero. It cannot attach files from Xero inbox.
    Currently, my client will send documents directly into Xero inbox. I have to open the document, download it and save outside of Xero and attach files to Products and Services. Just too many steps. Would appreciate it if your team can look into this.

  4. It would be handy to be able to customize the view screen on the contacts screen within Xero. Ie add additional columns - a payment column? It would be a lot easier to have a visual of payments received rather than having to click on the invoice or run a statement against the client to see when payment was last received / paid. It would also be handy to have an item column that includes payments. As well as an option to reconfigure the column order, Ie. Date in first column.

  5. Currently, the number of files that can be uploaded is limited to 50. It would be useful to be able to upload more than 50 files. For example, to a loan account we might need to attach the original loan documents, associated invoices, monthly statements and letters relating to interest rate increases. For a 5 year loan, more than 50 documents would be required for monthly statements alone.

  6. Currently we have a format in the UK for

    Sort code XX-XX-XX
    account number XXXXXXXX

    Having an option as to whether the bank falls within the formats of current ones (UK/AU/US) and also include Swift and IBAN which are very common.

    We need to be able to have the option to select which format depending on the contact, it would be great if you could add multiple. This would be very useful when dealing with an international company who has EUR, USD and also GBP accounts, we could also select them based on the currency.

  8. Please consider adding compatibility to preview .eml files (and .msg files if possible) that are attached to invoices (and other documents) in Xero, similar to the pdf preview window.

    Emails are text/HTML so this seems achievable.

    This would save time needing to download correspondences to view them, which are useful attachments in Xero for audit purposes.

    It’s great to see ideas around attachment previews, especially how support for .eml and .msg files could make audit workflows smoother.

    This idea is now open for the community to vote on and discuss. Adding a few details about how it would fit into your workflow can help others understand why it matters and give the product team extra context.

  9. The easiest way to save a document to the Files Inbox is to share it from the device file manager or gallery. However, if an image has been rotated to landscape (e.g. because the image was originally the wrong orientation), saving the image to Files Inbox this way removes the rotation. The Xero Accounting app should preserve the rotation when uploading.

  11. We tag documents for organisation in Hubdoc, but have no visibility of these in Xero, which makes no sense. These don't need to be editable, but it would make sense that it showed what tags were on an invoice. Even if this was detailed in the history of the invoice. This would be a massive time-saver!

    While it's not currently possible to add your Instagram link to your advisor listing on xero.com, you could add your Xero advisor listing URL from xero.com to add to your Instagram page.

    We don't have direct plans for adding more social link options to Xero advisor listings atm, but we'd like to get a sense of the community support for this that our product team can consider.

  13. I currently use Xero Files to store documents. Most of the documents are PDF's but some are Excel spreadsheets. Unfortunately, Xero Files doesn't recognise duplicate documents so, when uploading to Xero, it's necessary to compare the Xero file with my personal file in order to determine which documents need to be uploaded. It would be good if Xero Files recognised duplicates so all documents could be selected for upload with Xero simply flagging the duplicates with an option to either "skip" or to "skip all".

  14. Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

    I've set up the tags with the descriptions of the GL codes, however I've found that they are unable to view or use these tags without setting them up themselves. Having a communal list…

  15. Hubdoc tag organization
    It would be extremely useful to be able to group or nest tags within Hubdoc. When there are 20+ tags in use, managing the list of tags becomes unwieldy. The ability to organize the tags within groups would allow more streamlined document management. This is especially important for clients that have been using Hubdoc for several years and have organized thousands of documents using Hubdoc tags, but for whom the majority of documents are being stored for archival reasons.   16. A contrast function for Hubdoc. Often mobile phone scanned receipts do not have enough contrast and apart from the crop function which is being discussed a contrast function would improve usability.

  18. There are three documents that we are often chasing clients for as accountants in order to do accounts or self assessments -
    - Loan statements which show the year-end balances and the interest amounts (for example on the bounce-back loans).
    - Bank statements which show the year-end balance to check the accounting software pulled in all the data correctly.
    - Mortgage Interest statements (for self-employed clients who work from home or landlords on their self-assessments).

    1. Add a running total column for outstanding invoices/bills in contact activity

    2. An option to switch between the base currency and the billing currency (on the below screenshot). This will provide a view of the outstanding amount to be paid in the selected currency.

  19. Have an area in the contact card to opt out of the remittance advice for that supplier. This will save the time in unticking suppliers that never want remittance advice every time a batch payment is made.
