Hubdoc - Sort Hubdoc Docs by Payment Status
I would like to add to the Sort By options, to include Payment Status. When Bills are issued months in advance of the due payment date it's difficult to manually skim through and find them on the Hubdoc Docs list to check them off as paid. As some of our bills are paid via owner funds introduced, it becomes important to have a checklist of what's been processed and what hasn't.

Hubdoc - share and upload documents from device drives
Why can't you open a document , press share and the doucment filed into Hubdoc in the same way you can with Xero Files where want to push into Hubdoc initially?
Also you can seem to add PDF file types (that are not photos taken previously and stored in your phone gallery) with or without downloading the PDF document onto your device first - why is that?
Is Hubdoc a proper document storage facility?

Xero Files - Scroll bar in Files app
When a folder is created in Files app, it appears on the left menu and the documents uploaded in the folder appears on the right side of the screen. When there is a long list of folders created, like I am doing with the client, the list goes below the screen and scrolling down option is only the main scroll of Xero that moves the list of folders and the document display screen together. Xero Files - Archive/Consolidate files by year
I love the Xero filing cabinet as I can put files in there for the accountant and owner to view. However I have been using this cabinet for over 7 years and would like the ability to archive / consolidate by year.

Hubdoc - Option to code transactions and save them, without publishing to Xero
User & Approval - Having a user that can upload documents & code them. Save the changes but not publish to Xero. Bookkeeper can then check the coding is correct before publishing to Xero or having a approval process where the document is sent to be approved before publishing to Xero, and this would work for purchase orders, invoices & receipts

Files - Allow uploads to client organisations
Changes to Xero that have not improved the program
How do I upload files from Xero Files (documents scanned to Xero etc) to my client it no longer allows this - previously you could access either Xerol Files or your own files from your drive - am I missing something ? Also you can no longer just print invoices you have to download them _ why this is a total pain - the joy of Xero was always click and print or email ??? Please put it back many thanks Kate Milne long time user and Xero fan!!!!

Xero Files - Retain transaction attachments when removing files
When delete a file, do not automatically delete it from the linked transaction.
I have had a client delete many of their files from the file library, as she wanted to 'clean it up'. This has in turn deleted them from all the bills/spend money transactions etc and we now have lost access to all the source documents and will need to reenter them.
Even a warning that this would happen, would be better than just wiping everything.

Contacts - merge check before importing
I would suggest to about the Contacts function. Currently, the system automatically merge the contact information with the same name first and last name when importing the contacts. It's very common that customers have same first name and last name. I think it's better for Xero to have diagnostic to ask if the contacts imported are the same before merging. The auto merging function is creating lots of issue when the customers name are the same.

Files - Separate locations for contact related documents vs financial related documents
Where can I attach contact related documents vs financial related documents, as it appears there is only one document file upload location now. When there were options to keep these separate previously. It is all very well making updates and changes to the system in order for things to be quicker and more efficient but when this means, loosing previously used facilities, this is very frustrating. Keeping these different related documents apart has been very important previously and so now these all being stored together will mean things our end take longer and are less efficient for the end user.…

Contacts - Reinstate the email feed
The email feed on clients account activity needs reinstating. If people send a quote mid communication via email rather than on xero or someone emails in a query about an invoice this is now getting lost rather than recorded on their account!
PLEASE REINSTATE this was essential for credit control and communication between team members regarding clients!
2 votesHi there 👋, as you may have received communication of - we made the decision to retire our integration with Mailchimp, MS Outlook, Google Contacts and Hubspot from 10 Sept this year. We know the integration wasn't delivering the experience our customers expected, and retiring meant we could sharpen our focus on integrations that'll provide more value. We don't have any plans for bringing this back.
If you’d like to continue using an app integration, we recommend you visit the Xero App Store to determine whether apps like Zapier or Make would be a good alternative for your needs, or alternatively visit Xero Developer to find out more about building a custom integration with Xero.

Contacts - Show aged breakdown on contact overview
Why does the screen on each contact not show an aged breakdown at a glance like it does in Sage 50 accounts? Sometimes I only want to look at that particular supplier/customer to see what we owe them by month without having to go to the reports screen. Also why does it not list payments on account in the top part of the screen. It is so confusing to work out what is due and what isn't. Awful set up

Files - Add delete button to file preview
In the Files area, there are some that you do not know of until you opened them, and upon seeing them, it's not needed for the business. You have to close the file, either select the checkbox then delete, or the option button on the right to delete. Can you add a Delete function upon opening the file so we don't have to click close just to delete unwanted files? Thank you!.

As part of this work we will be improving the preview of files so you can see this side by side within the files inbox, enabling you quickly select and delete a files without having to open and close the preview. I'll keep you updated of when this is live for you here.

Contacts - Replace link for 'View recent bills' to filtered Supplier Bill Activity report
Can Supplier Bill Activity report be tied to this link (with auto-population of the supplier name in the report) so that I would not need to TYPE suppliers' names in the report every time I need to see the history of the supplier, which I do all the time?

Hubdoc - Support Access to Multiple Xero Orgs
Enhance the App to allow persistence of multiple Organizations. Currently if you log into Xero with different credentials for different organizations, you can not do the same in the Hubdoc mobile app.
Instead, the lucky few who have admin access to one of their Hubdoc organizations can invite their username from the other organization. This workaround only works if you are an officer of both, as inviting external users is probably a no no for most organizations. This was almost a showstopper to using Xero for myself for a 2nd org, and I am sure there are lots of people…

Contacts List - View if a contact has a CIS verified status
It would be productive to see if a contact is registered for CIS/verified and their status on the contact account page - where the group info is listed.
Otherwise the only way you can see this info is by clicking edit the contact. And include a signal/sign on the contacts page next to each CIS registered contact so that they can be identified easily.2 votes -

Show mandate status and progress: In Sage one of the Customer fields is their mandate status. You can see when the mandate was sent, whether it has been submitted, is being processed, is now active or has been cancelled. These are crucial for us. We are finding it very hard to get even a couple of mandates set up due to the way that first invoices are processed (on their invoice date rather than as soon after as practical). Hubdoc - extract customer name for sales invoices
At the moment Hubdoc extracts supplier name only which makes it tricky to use for processing sales invoices as the customer has to be manually selected and has no default settings. If Hubdoc could also extract customer name, it would really help with AR processing.

Contact | Notes - Edit from main page of a contact
The new notes section is a good idea one of which I suggested however its really not very freindly to use.
its buried at the end of the contact detail which means you have to navigate here.
The window is far too small - want a lot larger window at least 3 times the current box size which would make it easy to see and edit.
Would like it to appear on the invoice page so that one can see and edit as necessary when creating invoices.

Contacts - Optional average to invoiced amount auto-check
Auto-check of an invoice amount and compare it to the customer's maximum ever invoice amount. To avoid a typo eg entered £7000 instead of £700.
2 votesThanks for the interest in the idea here. As noted in my last update Contact Credit Limits might help some situations but we appreciate may not suit all needs. We don't have any direct change planned for this feature atm, but we'll continue to monitor the interest around this and share if there's any progress with you all, here.

Hubdoc - Allow additional settings for folders
I like how Hubdoc separates the data extraction to "Transaction Details" such as Supplier, Amount and Date. from "Destination Details" Such as Account code and contact..
We use Tags on the app to create Folders in hubdoc that organise team Expenses & Budgets.
It would be good to be able to set additional Folder/Tag settings in hubdoc that could over ride the Global Supplier settings in hubdoc when a tag is added.
Allowing for the Suppler to remain the same but the contact, Tax rate, account and tracking categories to be applied from the Tag/Folder settings.2 votes
