When creating a new client and selecting their title e.g. Mr/Mrs, allowing this to be searched by typing in the start of it, rather that having to scroll through the entire list of options - A through to M is a LONG list, another thing that was taken off when the new update occurred, a nightmare for Admin staff!!!

  2. The new version of XPM now only shows contacts' phone numbers (land line) if that field has been completed and not mobile numbers - to view the mobile number we now have to open the contact up to view this. Can you please change this so that the contacts show mobile number instead thanks.

  3. We would like an exportable / emailable report to show spends and bills in a period that are missing files / source documents.

    We could / would use this:
    - as a quick weekly review
    - monthly as part of month end
    - as part of GST prep
    - we work for clubs, and we would use this as part of annual pre-audit process for them - so the date range is important - as their year end is 31 Oct.

    Please make this a permanent feature or quickly accessiable report in Xero. Please also add it as a widget…

    Appreciate you sharing your idea in the forums here, Glennis. Sort of 2 pronged for a report as well as a widget I found another idea related to your first suggestion and added your vote for.

  4. Accessing Reconcile is always two clicks away. A dedicated reconcile button on the menubar with option to choose account would be make an improved UI and UX

    Thanks for your feedback on being able to pay invoices and bills directly from the contact page.

    This isn’t something that’s on our current roadmap for invoicing, bills or payments. Right now we’re focused on other improvements in these areas, so there’s no planned work or timeframe we can share for adding a bulk “pay / receive payment” option from the contact view ⭐

  7. I want to be able to run a report of the quantity of a specific item that my contact or a group of contacts sell in a specific time period. not dollar amount, but an actual item or group of items.

    Thanks for your suggestion about reporting on the quantity of items sold per contact or contact group over a given period (rather than just the total dollar value). At the moment, Xero doesn’t have a specific report that shows “item quantity by contact or contact group”, and this isn’t on our current roadmap for inventory or reporting. Today, some customers approximate this using the Receivable Invoice Details report or Sales by Item report with filters and external pivots, but we know that’s not as simple as having a dedicated report.

    This idea is still open for votes and If this work does move onto the roadmap in future, we’ll post an update on this idea.


  8. Ability to add an expiration date or renewal date to files (Contract end date, Tax clearance certificates etc.) with reminders on when documents are up for renewal.

    Hi team, thanks for sharing your thoughts on adding expiry and renewal dates to files. It’s been useful to hear how this could support the management of compliance-related documents like insurance certificates and training records.

    The idea of having reminders for upcoming renewals is a practical one, particularly for teams working in compliance-heavy environments. We’ve moved this idea to Gaining Support, which means it’s now open for the wider community to add votes and comments. If this would be helpful for your business, feel free to share how you’d use it or any specific scenarios you have in mind — that context helps shape what we look at next.

    In the meantime, the current workaround is to track renewal or expiry dates outside of Xero, and archive expired files before uploading the updated versions when they’re ready.

  9. To activate the option to be able to sort files by ASSOCIATED WITH in addition to SIZE and UPLOADED. The enormous amount of files now sitting in Archive must have all three columns active to give us an option to locate our files ASAP.

  11. Be able to see a list of contacts, showing which groups each contact belongs to at a glance. Who are donors, who are equine related, who attend camp, which are organizations/business/church, who take lessons

  12. Configure Publish As options to exclude some options.
    We never post Sales Invoices, but sometimes supplier invoices are incorrectly publish as Invoice(AR).
    This is lengthy to undo.
    I would like to configure HubDoc to exclude the Invoice(AR) option

  13. It would be great if there was an extra prompt to confirm when deleting attachments from purchases/sales. Currently you only have to press the 'x' and the document is removed and there is no way to undo this if it is pressed accidently. If it prompted you to accept the delete you could say no and avoid this issue.

  14. FINTECH requires Xero’s Contact ID for integration, but the Contact ID isn’t included in the contact export. They must be manually copied from the URL, which is slow and error prone.

  15. add to show the planned date for payment on the contact page where you can see all the bills as an option for the columns. so we can see if we have set up payment for each of the bills in the contact page for each contact/supplier.

  16. Before the update you could drag and drop directly into a folder in Xero Files. Now you have to drag and drop into the Inbox and then move from there. This created an extra step. It would be great if you could still have the option to drag and drop a document directly into the folder within the archive.

  17. The HubDoc Ui/Ux is outdated, we all know it. But its a good product. With the addition of the "Upload Bills" feature to Xero, it would make sense to just bring the full functionality of HubDoc right into the Ui of Xero rather than invest in the standalone product of HubDoc. It keeps us on one screen within Xero and eliminates all the nuances of the sync/integration.

    Maintaining backup to DropBox or Google Drive is key though. That makes it feel like a 'safe' backup method for receipts.

  19. I use Auto Tax. Be nice to go into contacts and select that as a default for contacts, where appropriate. Rather having to go to the drop down (in Invoices) each time.

  20. Can we please have an option to run a report for contacts incl Suppliers for example, where we can then audit new suppliers for a time period. Links into other ideas posted here to also see last active/used date. Similiar to the account transaction reports but to be able to run one for Contacts/suppliers would be super helpful for audits. Currently xero does not support any such thing, only the history & notes which is basically useless as it does not have the capacity to show or export more than 1000 entries, so when we do more than that in…

For tracking payable transactions (bills) by contact, we suggest using the Supplier Bill Activity Report or filtering the Account Transactions Report by contact and payable invoices. If you require setup assistance, please raise a case with our support team for guidance.Regarding the 'last active/used date' feature: This functionality is not currently available in Xero.
