  1. With the increasing requirement to submit sales invoices to the customer portal (eg Coupa) an alert or field on the invoicing screen to remember to submit this way rather than by direct email would be appreciated.

  2. I'd like to be able to add the members of a contact group (from the group's page) to another contact group in bulk. The only options at the moment are to bulk MOVE the contact from one group to another, or to go into each contact individually and manage groups to add them to another group. The other way is to choose them in bulk from the ALL contact page, but when you have lots of contacts & you are wanting a group which is made up of 2 or more other sub groups, this is not practical - I'd…

  3. Overpayments on a supplier on the front screen only show the original amount overpaid not what's left to use up.
    On an invoice you show what's o/s under 'Due' if its part paid, can you not do the same with overpayments?
    Currently you have to click on the overpayment to see how much is already allocated & what's left.

  4. It would be very helpful if contact group changes were shown in the history - what change was made, when, and by whom. Currently, they leave no trace.

  6. When we change a bank account currently only the user that makes the changes gets a notification which is a security weakness. We need all users or at the very least the main administrator or Finance Manager to be notified of changes.

  7. As the Archive in Files expands, we need the option to scroll through pages easily by using the scroll button. This should be located at the top of the page.

  8. Once PO's have been approved, could they be shown in BLUE (rather than green) - so as to distinguish between Bills "Awaiting Payment" (green) and PO's "Approved" (also in green) when in a Supplier.

    Appreciate when viewing this information on a Contacts Activity tab how further differentiation could be useful, Ingrid. We don't have any immediate plans for changing the colour, however it would be good to get a wider sense of interest for this from the community here.

    However, to avoid any confusion you also have the transactions type tabs that you can click on to view only activity for that type of transaction.

  9. File TAGGING! Can you please please add where we can tag files. Like ok tag to project tag to contractor. Tags! Tag projects to receipts and hires.
    If you add "tags" or labels to files and projects that'll make less clicks for everyone! and so much faster. The tags will obviously auto populate into the right project, files, or contractors!

    Thanks for sharing your idea, Jessasm. We don't have any immediate plans for adding tags to files in Xero, however we can start to get a better understanding of the interest around this from your idea here.

  10. Allow us to send files to certain contractors via email such as subject or create a contractor portal or sync to google drive or something! Sending contracts would be amazing too ! like getting signatures within Xero
    And allow contractors to sync with Gusto and also add contract terms to their profile for automations

  11. Allow bills created from the files inbox to use a default VAT rate which could be set in the supplier record, this will massivley speed review of these bill, or where the category is picked up by Xero, use the default VAT rate for that category.

    At the moment it takes longer to process bills through the inbox, than the old way as draft bills, although more information is recorded, I'm not sure of the benefit of a slower process

  12. I don't understand why the tiny "Invoices owed to you >" box takes up the entire left column of the screen, which then means the Invoices list isn't full width.

    Surely the tiny overview box could be combined into the section with the graph and allow us to view a full width invoices list for a contact?

  13. Could Xero please consider increasing the number of supporting files that can be attached to a loan account? Currently a maximum of 50 supporting documents can be attached. However, we are now exceeding the 50 document limit, with initial loan setup docs, monthly statements, plus bank letters regarding interest rate changes. It is important to have a full set of supporting documents attached to the loan account, so they are available for the accountant to review if required.

  14. Can read PDF password-protected files.

    Can read or ask to insert a password if PDF is password-protected, as some supplier have to send their invoices with passwords.

    How to manage it is to have email link to supplier and can save the password for set supplier. Then when you received document from set supplier email it will know the supplier so it can use the password you saved on the pdf document an open it.

  15. The new Smart Capture feature in Xero Files is a great step forward, but one key limitation is currently preventing us from fully moving away from Hubdoc.

    At the moment, when Smart Capture creates a bill, it can only be published as a draft. There doesn’t appear to be any option to choose the bill status during the creation process.

    In Hubdoc, we can choose the status before publishing, for example:
    • Draft
    • Awaiting Approval
    • Awaiting Payment

    This is extremely useful for workflow management and automation.

Can't highlight select specific text within the Contact Details - Notes Box to edit Contact information - when attempting to select part of the existing text to highlight so I can copy or delete this, however all the text below is highlighted and the screen rolls down or up when attempting to do this... it's so frustrating & annoying as the only work around for this is to copy the entire text & paste to Apple Mac text notes on another screen, so I can then edit the text and copy back into the Client Details - Notes Box in…

    Hi Tracey! We're in the process of releasing a new feature via our Xero Accounting app that will enable you to upload as separate or a single document that can be processed with Smart Document capture once uploaded to your org. 😊

    We expect to have this live to all users soon so I'll round back to confirm when it's out to 100%.

  20. Dear Xero Team,

    It would be very helpful to have a separate "Statement" tab for each contact to upload statements received from suppliers or contractors for accounts payable.

    I recommend adding this tab under the existing Contacts section, alongside the current tabs for Bills, Purchase Orders, Receive Money, and Spend Money.
