Hubdoc - Allow Upload Only users to view tags from a common list
Hubdoc User roles - it would be incredibly helpful if upload only users were able to view (not edit or add) tags from a common list. We have 17 staff who have company visa's I'm wanting to use Hubdoc for them to be able to upload their visa receipts & invoices instead of having them manually sent to me the following month for coding and entering.

Hubdoc - Keep email text with the receipts.
When emailing receipts to Hubdoc, anything written in the email title or body should stay with the receipt. Currently, Hubdoc turns one email into 2 uploads. One upload is the email. One upload is the receipt. It is nearly impossible to know which email matches which receipt. The result is that important documentation is lost. For example, my clients often email a receipt to Hubdoc for meals and they write who was present at the meal and the business purpose into the email's title or body. Contacts - Show Contact Details on Customer Activity Page
I would like to be able to see the "Contact Details" as a little box on the left side of the Customer Activity Page. See my example attached.
I use the 'contact details: notes' section to add notes about some of our jobs, because the History/Notes section is useless. I would like to see the ability to move the customer tabs around and display what we want to see on the activity page.

I can certainly see how having those specific notes visible right alongside the transaction feed would improve efficiency and make sure key information isn't missed.
While this isn't in our immediate plans to make changes in this area, this idea is open for support from other community members, and we'll keep a close eye on the interest here.

Hubdoc - Keep the highlights for extracted line items.
When converting a pdf to csv, the platform will high-light the extracted lines so that you can see any MISSED lines that you need to manually add to the csv before importing. If you leave that screen, however, and proceed to download your csv, those high-lights disappear and you have no way to get them back. There should be a way to download the high-lighted pdf, get the high-lights back, or at the very least a warning to the user to capture this data now or lose it forever once you proceed to download your csv.

Hubdoc - App Face ID
Could you make the app more user-friendly by reducing the need to log in every time or Ideally, Face ID should be an option for quick access.
Also, when we receive invoices from Xero, could they be sent as PDF attachments rather than just links? This would make it easier to forward them to Hubdocs via email. Thanks!

Hubdoc - Feature to group/organise tags
Hubdoc tag organization
It would be extremely useful to be able to group or nest tags within Hubdoc. When there are 20+ tags in use, managing the list of tags becomes unwieldy. The ability to organize the tags within groups would allow more streamlined document management. This is especially important for clients that have been using Hubdoc for several years and have organized thousands of documents using Hubdoc tags, but for whom the majority of documents are being stored for archival reasons. Hubdoc - Use consistent naming for transaction types
Just wanted to feedback some issues found during brief testing of Hubdoc (as potential replacement for Dext; we'll not be proceeding at this stage) ... here's what we found:
- different naming conventions - “Credit Note/Refund” equivalent (not sure what it is?) not as intuitive
- for multi-line entries, it doesn’t tell you what the remaining balance on a bill is (it does provide running total of lines entered but requires external 'calc' action)
- clunkier on mobile phone - have to log in each time whereas Dext is just snap and go

This way others know exactly what they're adding their vote for here in community, our product teams can get a sense of interest in a particular feature and we can keep users updated if there are plans made specifically for that functionality.

Contacts - Cash in/out Graph ability to set longer period
Currently this only shows over a 12 month period when in all cases I'd like to see how well each customer or supplier has performed against the same month last year.
At worst could this not simply be a 15 month graph (as if it were 13 then the previous month/previous year would drop of when everything was in by the beginning of the following month?
- at best could you select filters to compare even the past 3 years by month etc...

Hubdoc - Shift and enlarge "Who Posted"
The current implementation of "Who posted" information appears below the image in small text, which is easy to miss. We believe it would be more effective and user-friendly to display this information prominently at the top of the scan in larger text.

QR Code recognition of scanned receipts and invoices in Hubdoc
For scanned receipts containing a QR code, it would be very useful if the system could automatically read the code and populate it into a "Notes" field or the Invoice Reference field. This would streamline data entry and reduce manual work.

Hubdoc - Contrast feature
A contrast function for Hubdoc. Often mobile phone scanned receipts do not have enough contrast and apart from the crop function which is being discussed a contrast function would improve usability.

Contacts - Search newly registered addresses
When adding a contact, the "search address" works fine most of the time, but can take some time before new addresses are added to the search data base and require manual entry (usually cut and paste from Google Maps.) Could this feature not be linked with an API to the likes of Googles address infrastructure to utilise their rapidly adapting data base?

Hubdoc - Choose Billable Expense or assign directly to Projects
Project Assigning in Hubdoc. It would be most useful if our accounting team could choose between a Billable Expense and Assign to a Project in Hubdoc. We have many small expenses that have to be assigned to projects, as the client has already paid in most cases. We have to find each one, which is a challenge, open the bill, and assign each one manually. It is so time-consuming. So much processing time. Please consider this, it would be so appreciated.

Hubdoc - Allocate to any bank account
Please make it possible to allocate expenses to any bank account while in hubdoc. That way a lot of time is saved when reconciling transactions to the bank account.

Hubdoc - Ability to receipt supplier payments as remittances in Xero
Why can’t we simplify the process of submitting and reconciling remittances from suppliers using a "receive money transaction" in Xero? Currently, when we receive a remittance through Hubdoc, we must manually change it to 'receipt' before submitting it. This creates an invoice draft in Xero, which we end up deleting as it serves no purpose, leaving the remittance stuck in Hubdoc. This process is inefficient and doesn’t make sense. We want to phase out Hubdoc, but it's currently the only place where we can store remittances. Ideally, Hubdoc should communicate directly with Xero, identifying the file as a remittance for…

Hubdoc - Show invoice number in filename for downloads
I wonder if it is possible to implement the following simple change to Hubdoc. Currently, when an invoice is downloaded from Hubdoc, the file name is complied as <supplier name><date><amount>. It would be much better to replace <amount> with an invoice number. It often happens the payment batches are being sent to authorisers outside Xero, so an ability to provide a list of sorted files would be great. It also makes an invoice search outside Xero much easier.

Hubdoc - Delete Button
Naturally, when emailing in invoices and receipts, we end up with extraneous items in the Docs Pane on the left hand side. To delete these, we currently only have a small 'delete' button in the far top right corner, followed by a confirmation message in the centre of the screen.
It'd be great if the UI was updated to have either:
- a delete button closer to the Docs Pane on the left hand side
- some right click functionality, to allow us to delete documents
- some keyboard shortcuts to allow us to process these items much quickerI…

Contact - Font color
If we cannot put a warning against the bad payers, surely it cannot be that hard to be able to change the customers business names into another color (Red) So when you search or create a new invoice, alarm bells will ring and hopefully avoid more loss
7 votesHi Todd, have you seen credit limits? These will allow you to set a limit to how much spending a customer can make with your business. When they reach that limit you can also choose whether to restrict invoicing for that customer. This may help with the scenario you're noting here.

Contact - Ability to copy & paste bank account number (accept spaces not just hyphens)
When you try to add a new bank account to a contact, Xero only accepts numbers and hyphens in the field. Spaces are not accepted.
All invoices issued by Xero have the issuer's bank account on the invoice formatted with separating spaces between the number blocks.
So when entering a new contact, I can't just copy-paste the bank account number from the invoice that was created by Xero because the format of such number doesn't comply with the formatting in Xero contact section. Every time it has to be manually edited by all the thousands of Xero users.
