  3. Hubdoc's integration with Xero can be great when it enables automatic reconciliation of an invoice with accounts in Xero. However, if any portion of an invoice is allocated to an account in Xero that has a 0% tax rate, Publishing to Xero fails with the error message "Validation Err. Line item tax amounts do not total to document tax amount".

    An example of where this occurs is where 50% of a transaction is deemed a business expense, while 50% of the transaction has a private use component, where the private use component is treated as personal drawings, e.g., the business…

  4. Files is a great feature to use, to make it even more user-friendly it would be really useful to have a high level folder e.g. for the current FY, with the info sitting in sub-folders under it. that way you hold multiple years worth of info there, keeping it well-organised, easy to find and manageable.

    Thank you for all sharing and adding your vote for the idea, here. We know our customers find great use in Xero Files and developing the ability to create sub folders in Xero Files is something the team are planning to take a deeper dive into in the coming months. For now, we'll move the idea to Under review and I'll come back with more news when this picks up. 😊

  5. For manually uploaded receipts, the ability to edit the vendor and category in bulk would be be a big time saver.

  6. Allow Hubdoc to publish a receipt to an existing 'BILL' in Xero without creating and new transaction and duplicating the amount. Failure to do this forces the user to upload the receipt directly into Xero files instead or opt not to use the BILL feature in Xero and publish transitions in real time from Hubdoc instead. For those wishing to have all their receipts in a magical shoe box in the cloud (Hubdoc) it appears that this would be a way forward.

  7. Allow for rules to be placed on what to do when data is missing or unable to be grabbed. Ideally for these to be linked by which supplier the order is from or even setting global rules

    Specific Ideas:
    -Setting a default Global Due by date when missing
    -Setting a specific stock line(s) to apply stock to by supplier
    -Setting not to overwrite cost price with default cost price in system.

    Thanks so much for jumping in and sharing your thoughts on this, community. We really appreciate you taking the time to explain how improvements to Hubdoc's data extraction would help you.

    We see how extracting more detail could help cut down manual data entry, and it's worth highlighting that since this idea was started we've added a few enhancements that may have solved the needs for some in this idea;

    • Upload in Bills - you can now drag & drop or upload bills directly to your Xero organisation which could save you an extra step not having to publish 
    • Credit note detection - Hubdoc can now detect when publishing a Credit Note and will get you to review the document
    • Improved the accuracy of the supplier

  11. Ability to push files that’s uploaded in Xero Files to cloud storage (e.g. Google Drive, Dropbox, and Sharepoint).

    Purpose: Users can easily store/keep their files that they’ve uploaded in Xero into their own cloud storage. Especially when they have many documents that exceed the limit of Xero Files.

    Hi team, though we appreciate the use you'd find in being able to connect or send Xero Files to your cloud storage we want to be open that this isn't in our short terms plans.

    We're keen to keep getting an understanding of interest in the capability, and will share if there are any updates or progress of this, here.

  14. Users can scan their invoices via mobile app when they don’t have an internet connection.

    Thanks for your input here, everyone. Our team is currently looking into adding a document merge feature into their roadmap. However, no dates are planned for when this will be implemented. 

    That said, we’ll move the status of the idea into ‘Under review’, so please continue to add your vote and give us your comment on how this feature can improve your workflow. 

    For now, you can merge your documents outside Hubdoc, then upload/email it into Hubdoc. Feel free to also share some options here on how you merge the documents before you put it into Hubdoc.
