Files - Page scrolling at top of page
As the Archive in Files expands, we need the option to scroll through pages easily by using the scroll button. This should be located at the top of the page.

Xero Files - Ability to tag files
File TAGGING! Can you please please add where we can tag files. Like ok tag to project tag to contractor. Tags! Tag projects to receipts and hires.
If you add "tags" or labels to files and projects that'll make less clicks for everyone! and so much faster. The tags will obviously auto populate into the right project, files, or contractors!1 voteThanks for sharing your idea, Jessasm. Contractors Organizations
Allow us to send files to certain contractors via email such as subject or create a contractor portal or sync to google drive or something! Sending contracts would be amazing too ! like getting signatures within Xero

Please remove "Update contact details" pop up when creating Rules!
When creating a new contact in the Rules screen, there is now a "Update contact details" pop up that slows down the process of creating rules. This pop up IS helpful for bills and invoices but is NOT heplful for creating Rules - especially becuase creating Rules is very manual and must be repeated manually (since we can't duplicate rules across clients). This feature adds a hiccup to the process of creating rules, it doesn't improve the efficiency of it. Please remove this feature on the Rules window!

Improve layout: Contacts > Invoices
I don't understand why the tiny "Invoices owed to you >" box takes up the entire left column of the screen, which then means the Invoices list isn't full width.
Surely the tiny overview box could be combined into the section with the graph and allow us to view a full width invoices list for a contact?

Increase number of supporting files that can be attached to a loan account
Could Xero please consider increasing the number of supporting files that can be attached to a loan account? Currently a maximum of 50 supporting documents can be attached. However, we are now exceeding the 50 document limit, with initial loan setup docs, monthly statements, plus bank letters regarding interest rate changes. It is important to have a full set of supporting documents attached to the loan account, so they are available for the accountant to review if required.

PDF Password protection
Can read PDF password-protected files.
Can read or ask to insert a password if PDF is password-protected, as some supplier have to send their invoices with passwords.
How to manage it is to have email link to supplier and can save the password for set supplier. Then when you received document from set supplier email it will know the supplier so it can use the password you saved on the pdf document an open it.

smart capture create transaction awaiting payment
The new Smart Capture feature in Xero Files is a great step forward, but one key limitation is currently preventing us from fully moving away from Hubdoc.
At the moment, when Smart Capture creates a bill, it can only be published as a draft. There doesn’t appear to be any option to choose the bill status during the creation process.
In Hubdoc, we can choose the status before publishing, for example:
• Draft
• Awaiting Approval
• Awaiting PaymentThis is extremely useful for workflow management and automation.
With Smart Capture in Xero Files, every bill has to be manually…

draft bill
To be able to create an approved bill directly from the file inbox, rather than only being able to create a draft bill which then needs to be approved. These extra steps increase the time taken to create and approve bills and increases the risk of draft bills being missed.

Contact Details - Notes Box
Can't highlight select specific text within the Contact Details - Notes Box to edit Contact information - when attempting to select part of the existing text to highlight so I can copy or delete this, however all the text below is highlighted and the screen rolls down or up when attempting to do this... it's so frustrating & annoying as the only work around for this is to copy the entire text & paste to Apple Mac text notes on another screen, so I can then edit the text and copy back into the Client Details - Notes Box in…

Adding a Statement TAB to Contacts
Dear Xero Team,
It would be very helpful to have a separate "Statement" tab for each contact to upload statements received from suppliers or contractors for accounts payable.
I recommend adding this tab under the existing Contacts section, alongside the current tabs for Bills, Purchase Orders, Receive Money, and Spend Money.

Smart document capture - Line Extraction Defaults for Contacts
On the new files smart capture facility, there is an option to toggle the 'line items', please could you add a way to save the toggle for each contact, as I have some contacts that have various itemised invoices which would benefit from default already being collapsed, and some that the itemised extraction helps with.

Adding job titles to contacts
adding in an additional field where a job title can be put with a contact. Having multiple contacts for one company, it would be helpful to put who is the contact for finance / quotes / receptionist etc

Contact - Bank account verified
Can we please have a feature to confirm when a contact's bank account details were last verified? We are increasingly asking for confirmation of bank account details with no easy way other than the notes field to check the account status.

Sending emails from the mobile app
When sending emails from the mobile app, it’s important to have the option for emails to be sent from our business email address rather than the personal login email.
At the moment, emails are being sent from a personal address, which means clients are receiving and having access to personal contact details. This isn’t ideal from a professional or privacy standpoint.
Having the ability to set and send from a designated business email would greatly improve professionalism and client communication.

reconcile contact with AP & AR balances
When a contact has both a Payable & receivables balance there should be a way of reconciling the items against each other so we only then have to pay the balance rather than working it out and having to manually pay it through the bank or pay the invoice, await the receipt instead of just paying or receiving the difference.

Allow files to be re-named in the platform once added.
I would like files to be able to be renamed once they have been added to the files area. As most generic files only have numbers or letters it would make it easier to be able to rename them easily.
also allow the files to be time stamped as well.
