  1. Sales Tax exempt form management in the U.S.A. Currently every year we have to manually ask and upload customers sales tax exempt certificates and update their tax status so we charge or don't charge sales tax. Would be nice to have a some sort of system where the customer is notified once a year and self uploads their tax exempt certificate which is linked to thier contact information. This would save alot of hours.

  2. I have multiple clients who have members. They like to keep their members date of births on file, so they can send them birthday emails, or if they are over a certain age can get a discounted membership. It would be great to have either a dedicated date of birth field, or like some other accounting softwares a few open fields, that we could name per file, for additional required details, like date of births, member types, allergies, voting member etc. I'm sure these fields could be useful for other types of businesses as well.

  3. I would like to set an 'auto archive' rule at a supplier level. This would be useful for expense which have a bank rule set up in Xero. Eg Xero subscription bills, other subscription invoices.

  4. Sorting bills or invoices under contacts by bill/invoice number or date or due date or reference, etc., Previously I believe that this was possible, now the only column is date and that's pretty annoying when looking for a particular bill number, etc.,

  5. Part 1: Integrate with Companies office NZ (or similar) so that when I enter the name of a new contact it looks for the details of the company published on the companies office / NZBN. This could reduce data entry and validate that the name entered is a real company, accepting it wouldn't cover other entities.

    Part 2: When a company status changes (e.g. goes into liquidation) you could show Xero users a warning, could do the same for company name & address changes etc..

  9. My client has started using Projects which I'm finding not easy to use.

    We would like to assign bills directs to projects in Hubdoc.

    I also want to be able to give my client a list of bills that haven't been assigned. I can see this in bills to pay but its not printable/ exportable and there is no report that will give me this information.

    I would also like to include direct spends from bank feed instead of having to create a bill just so we can see its not assigned

  10. Primary issue:
    If the Accounting Firm wants to maintain control over a client's records and Xero integrations, then only one person can be the one that creates every client in HubDoc.

    Workaround proposed - and the related issue:
    - We were advised to create a dummy account for HubDoc to create the client files. This results in having to share a password - changing it frequently with staff changes.
    - This also is not feasible due to the 2-Factor Authorization requirements
    - This also creates a massive privacy breach risk for unauthorized access under PIPEDA (Canada) and PIPA (Alberta)

  11. I want to be able to add and edit line items in the Hubdoc mobile app so that I can process more complex invoices/bills on my mobile device. Currently I need to use the web app for this and the UX of the whole interface there is very poor – basically just the desktop interface but rendered much smaller – so the experience is quite painful.

  12. Hubdoc App. Can we have the ability to hide archived documents. Or create a separate tab similar to the web version. Another option is to make archived documents dim so clients are aware that the documents are processed and are in Xero.

  13. The recent changes to the contacts screen have done nothing but hinder our business. You have removed the "Payments in past 12 months" which is something we rely on heavily when managing our clients. There is now no way to see all payments by a particular client where there are credit notes applied or they have paid by different means (sometimes by card, sometimes DD and sometimes bank transfer) as we would have to search each account separately and manually pull out the credit note balances. Very laborious and this is information we use daily in our credit control procedures.

  14. Stop messing around with things that people haven't asked for and actually look at implementing things that have been asked for.
    The new look for customer and sales ledgers is awful. Why change it?
    When it comes to being easy to reconcile supplier ledgers Xero is already miles behind it's competitors but you've somehow managed to make it even worse!
    For example if there is an overpayment that you part allocate against a bill and then refresh the screen it shows that the bill is paid but the overpayment still shows that the full amount is to be used, it…

  15. To be able to see a proper transaction report of either outstanding or all transactions from the contact screen. All it gives you at the moment is a list of invoices and notes etc with no structure. If you could get a transaction history from that screen and an aged breakdown it would be really helpful, which you could download, without coming out of there and having to go to reports. It's so frustrating.

  17. Simplified view of outstanding receipts that need to be processed to the accounting software ie numbers reflected in the top tabs.

  18. I have 19 rental properties with 19 separate AT&T internet bills monthly. There needs to be a method within Hubdoc to automate publishing each receipt to a uniqueTracking Category each month. Right now it is all manual and very time consuming.

  19. I create new contacts all the time, often while creating an invoice. I usually only have a few details on hand to start creating the contact (name, email, phone number). So I flick between windows, copying from one and pasting into Xero's "create new customer" dialogue right there on the invoice edit screen.

    It's the phone number I have the most trouble with. If there are any space characters in the (usually mobile) phone number I have copied - and there pretty much always are spaces when copying from an email or whatever - then nothing will paste into the…
