Contacts - Allow multiple addresses for a single contact record
Ability to create and save multiple addresses for a single contact record
Purpose: Allow customers to map customer & supplier details against a single contact record
Hi everyone, we know this remains a highly important request, and we appreciate the volume of detail you’ve shared around billing, delivery and contact management workflows in this idea.
As shared in our last update - our team has been progressing the next phase of work needed to bring this more meaningfully into invoicing.
We know many of you are looking for clearer timing, and while I’m not able to confirm a release date at this stage, I do want to reassure you this remains an active area of work for our product teams.
We’ll continue to return here with further updates as we move through the next stages. Thanks again for your patience and for continuing to share the workflows that make this so important.

Hi All,
we have been waiting 12 years for this feature when is everyone going to accept is is never going to happen!!!!!! i have message kelly on linked in 3 years ago and again all i was told was they are working on it. we have this feature on purchase orders so why is it taking 12 years to put this feature on invoicing. xero have other apps that do this at a cost so they will never add this feature.

This really needs to be added ASAP!! recently moved from Quickbooks who had this feature. I would have thought it was a basic requirement. An update is needed as to when this is being added.

Xero - after moving across to find that this is the one limitation that is actually done right on QBO and not here is such a disappointment - it is a must needs for us. Please update us on when this is coming - your last update was tooooo long ago!

I was just saying to my boss yesterday that this would be great as some clients want invoices sent to one email address & statements sent to another email address & its painful to remove the wrong ones every time you need to send statements I have had 2 emails from clients this week as I forgot to remove the other email & I sent them to the wrong email addresses as I was flat out & forgot

I have just signed up Foodstuffs Auckland with several hundred delivery points and cannot believe this feature is not in Xero. The work arounds are painful and create multiple other issues!!!

The holdup for this was new invoicing, that is what we were told.
What is the holdup now?
May 2022 was your first response to this issue, over 4 years to give us a function we have been needing desperately. -

No Mater what they say they will ever implement the feature, this request is over 12 yeas old!! it now has 1358 supporters. what more do we need to do to get it through to Kelly we want this. they have this capabilities for purchase orders. so how hard can it be to apply it to invoices!!. i am constantly looking for alternatives to Xero.
will post on here when i find an alterative so we all can move. -

I hope you get this functionality soon, it is critical for dealing with most supermarkets in South Africa. Due to our product being perishable, we have to deliver directly to stores and invoice to the head office. Thank you

Hello Xero Support,
I would like to suggest an enhancement to the customer contact feature for better management of email addresses. Many customers use different email addresses for specific purposes, such as one for receiving tax invoices and another for account statements. Currently, this creates an issue when using the "Send Statement" feature under the Sales Overview, as it can’t send statements to all customers at once when their default email address is designated for tax invoices only.
It would be helpful to have the option to nominate different email addresses for specific purposes (e.g., "Tax Invoice," "Account Statement," etc.) within the customer contact details. This way, users can ensure that tax invoices are sent to the correct address, and account statements go to the appropriate one, streamlining communication and preventing the need for manual email updates.
This functionality would improve the "Send Statement" feature, allowing users to send customer statements in bulk without the risk of sending them to the wrong email address.
Thank you for considering this suggestion!

Add multiple delivery addresses under one customer name for drop shipping.

This is the most limiting feature in Xero. We have multiple clients with multiple delivery addresses. Only being able to save one delivery address per client is an antiquated, limiting feature and very close to enough of a reason to leave Xero.

Some customers have more than one location, allow multiple delivery addresses that can be chosen when raising a sales order.

I made the move from Xero to MYOB accumatica because of this reason about 2 years ago! crazy to see that it still hasn't been resolved.

And AI, so much AI. Which is just what you want in an accounting package.
Will likely be moving at the end of this financial year. Xero has demonstrated time and again that it does not care what we ask for, no matter how long we ask for it. -

@Amy Neville - MYOB has had this feature years. We moved away from MYOB to Xero, but the lack of this feature is driving us up the wall. We're considering a move to another platform in the next FY.
With over 1347 votes, this feature has been one of the most requested ideas on this board for years. To receive an email update yesterday saying "This quarter, we delivered 75 of your most-requested product ideas" and not include it has been a wake up call. All they keep prioritising is "visual clarity" and widgets.

Does MYOB offer the ability to do this as thinking of moving to them. Many things Xero do not offer that other platforms do.
