Manual Journals - Add a Reference column
MANNUAL JOURNAL
Please add a reference column for us to fill up so that posted journal are document in sequence number. The journal ID is actually act as audit trail Instead of journal reference number.
Also, pleas please allow journal entries to be able to post entries to bank...its such a miserable, while journal entries supposingly existed to pass adjustment but doesn't allow pass entries....

Hope we can add a Reference field aside from the narration in the Manual journal entry. This will allow for easier sorting and tracking when generating reports.

Yes, absolutely — there is no way for us to add our own journal number. When we need to trace back a journal, it is really difficult because there is no number to reference. Imagine having a huge volume of journals and needing to trace them one by one. Similarly, journals cannot post entries to bank accounts and do not allow currency changes. For example, if we need to pass a rounding difference, we cannot do this directly in the journal. This lack of flexibility makes the system less user‑friendly compared to others.

I use manual journals to import some reservations and a reference column would be a big help!

Yes i use the journals for Deferrals and need to track them back to the invocie having this will allow me to report better

Would be great to be able to utilise the Reference field in a manual journal to record an Invoice number etc. This would in turn allow searching on the reference field like for normal reconciled bank transactions
