Short term cash flow - Expected payment date based on history
It would help if the expected settlement dates for invoices (and bills) were based on past history rather than due dates

I was just about to post this idea when saw Graham had posted this last year! I completely agree a short term cashflow model should be based on customer and supplier history on average days to pay rather than "end of following month" as an example expected date. This will make the short term cashflow forecast more accurate for decision making.
