Purchase order - Change date formatting
why don't Xero have the same date format when entering the date across all aspects of the system.
Invoice format - DD/MM/YYYY
Projects format - DD/MM/YYYY
Bills format - DD/MM/YYY
BUT
New Purchase Order format - MM/DD/YYYY
PPPPP.
Thanks for sharing with us here, Nicholas - Is it possible your browser language is currently set to English(US). This maybe causing the formatting you're mentioning here and changing to English (UK) or (AUS) should help.

Hi, I totally agree with this idea. Even though my browser language is set to English UK etc etc and even trying a different browser apparently if you just put in 01072026 for the 1st July 2026 it is automatically set to US so it comes out 7th Jan 2026. But if you put 01/07/2026 then you are ok. UK users should have the same ability to input dates without the back slash. PLEASE

No. This is not due to the browser language being incorrectly set. I can have each template open in separate tabs, Invoice template, projects template, bills template even entering date of birth when setting up an employee all have the date format dd/mm/yyyy when inputting the date.
The Purchase Order template and, I have since discovered, the Quote template both have the date format mm/dd/yyyy when entering the date.
As far as I am aware the browser language does not change simply by opening a separate tab.
