  1. You are currently able to allocate Bills to customers in Xero, but not supplier Credit Notes. Adding this feature will make recharging costs simpler to manage, for those who use Xero for invoicing.

  2. We would like to raise a concern regarding a recent update to the Purchase Order function, which is now causing operational issues for us.

    Previously, within a Purchase Order, we could select the three dots at the top of the screen, choose “Copy to…”, and then select either Bill, Purchase Order, or Invoice. This process worked well and ensured that all relevant details transferred correctly.

    However, following the recent update, the options have changed. We now only see “Copy to Invoice”, while Bill has been replaced with a blue “Create Bill” button. To create a Bill, we must manually select…

  3. Prevent invoice scanning technology from splitting out the VAT on a bill where the client's financial settings are set to "VAT scheme - None" and all chart of accounts codes are set to "No VAT" (the client is not VAT-registered).

  4. It would be really helpful to be able to allocate a credit note against the supplier account rather than against individual purchase invoices. We receive supplier credit notes for discounts applied for purchases which don't relate to an invoice so the only way we can account it for them is to use any purchase invoice which then reduces the invoice amount. It can be confusing for the supplier when the invoice amounts do not match.

When you approve a bill it pops up with a notice saying add another bill, it should say back to (whatever screen you were on) i.e. I tend to upload bulk to the the ai section to which they then enter drafts. I have to manually go back to drafts each time to enter the next bill whereas it could automatically just take me where I need to go or at least offer the function

  6. At the moment, when a bill is sat in drafts, because it has gone through the upload process, it does not match with any unbilled purchase orders. Would be good if you could select the PO it relates to from a list or something

  7. Where the attachment is showing as being there it would be great to be able to hover over it and bring it up in a viewer window to check it rather than having to open the document up and then click into it to load it.

  8. It would be great to be able to hover over the document line in the customer account screen or banking screens and see the document in a view only window so that you don't have to click in and back out or open another window.

  9. Files Inbox - Review File Details - VAT amount difference (Purchases and Sales including direct Spend)
    It would be a good idea to enable the VAT amount to be edited. I received quite a number of POs, purchases, and receipts with a different VAT amount compared to what Xero calculates (rounding). Currently, I have to enter a direct spend into a bill just to correct the VAT amount. It suggests to enter a rounding amount but the system does not allow for only a VAT amount to be entered when creating a new row for the difference. If I use…

  10. Add more lines on a Bill without having to scroll to "add a new line" button. If I copy a bill for example but want to add more lines in the middle of the bill, I have to scroll all the way down to the bottom of the bill to add more lines. There should be an option to add new lines with the enter button or to copy line items without having to scroll all the way down, especially on lenghty bills.

  12. Quite a few times i've hit approve on a bill and then realised it wasn't the correct account or details. Then i have to exit draft bills and go find the bill to open, edit, save and then go back to drafts to continue adding, which adds so much time.
    A simple 'Undo' button would be amazing which would undo the last thing you did, opening the last draft you approved back open in edit mode. Then once saved will open your next draft bill ready to complete.

  13. Allow us to filter through bills based on ticking/unticking certain contacts/suppliers. Why not add it if you can already use a search bar, this would make things much easier. As well as also filtering by tracking categories.

  14. I don't think this is a product idea, I think this is the request for fix:
    In Hubdoc, the chosen document type (in "Transaction Details") is not used to validate the "publish as" option in the Xero Integration. While Hubdoc validates the tax rate chosen in Transaction Details relative to the account chosen in the Xero Integration (providing an error message when it doesn't), it happily lets me publish a document categorized as "invoice" in Transaction Details as a credit memo in Xero, if the last transaction with the contact happened to be a credit memo.

  15. Please create an automatic tip function ideally with Hubdoc.
    I'd be really grateful if there was a way to simplify tipping in the Purchase/Bill module. As it stands the total amount is transferred from Hubdoc to Xero. I have to:
    1. hit edit
    2. switch tax inclusive to tax exclusive
    3. edit the bill amount to the pre-tax value
    4. add a line
    5. type "tip", add 1, add tip amount, change tax rate from standard (Entertainment) to Tax on Purchase (o%)
    6. Hit 'Update'.

    THEN I can fill out the apply payment line.
    Ideally, Hubdoc would identify a tip…

  16. Add further Bulk Action options to the Draft Bills screen. See image - so many identical low value bills.
    Idealy I would be able to check the bills, and bulk add:
    - Supplier Name
    - Basic Description
    - Default Due Date (revert to supplier default automatically?)
    - Account used.
    - Approve if eligiible after this.

    I find the 'approve' options are useless because the incoming bills never have enough info to approve until edited... therefore - edit options would be more useful.

  18. When amending the account code for a bill, it would be helpful if the whole of the entry was selected when clicking into the box. I either have to click on the arrow and scroll up and down the list to select the account I want or I have to click at the front of the box, highlight the whole entry in blue and then delete to overtype the account code. If I could click in the box and the whole cell was highlighted in blue I could then just overtype the account code.

  19. Can we please have an optional Organisational Setting in Hubdoc to ensure Hubdoc does not create or post items with dates earlier than the lock date in the Organisation?

    This should prevent Hubdoc using a date like 1925 when using the date picker.

  20. For organisations that have an active Hubdoc organisation, it would be helpful from a workflow perspective to:
    1. Have a link from the main purchases dropdown menu direct to Hubdoc; and
    2. On the various Bills tabs, have a link to Hubdoc

    This would provide a trigger for users to remember there may be Bills needing approval/processing in Hubdoc; and even as a cross promotion for Hubdoc.
