    Hi community, thank you for all the engagement and we can see the growing interest in improvements to help simplify your view of information on the new Homepage and navigate important information and insights with more ease.

    Right now, our team have a few pieces of work underway intended to help with some of the pain points that have been raised here these include:

    • More options for the sizing of widgets so you can reduce these frames and better position this information on your screen
    • More customisation of information within a widget like being able to remove visuals
    • Improving the experience of moving widgets when editing the homepage to make it more obvious when dragging and dropping them to different positions on the page

    We’ve also roadmapped further changes for later this year, once everyone is on the new experience. I’ll share more updates as we progress.

    The new homepage is extremely difficult to view. There is too much white on the page, we can't see where one widget ends an another begins.
    Can we please have sections with different colours - for example bank accounts are highlighted green, accounts payable/receivable are blue - just so they are in different sections and are able to be viewed easily.
    Current homepage is far too busy and white.

    We know many of you asked for widget borders to help separate information. As a first step, we’ve subtly darkened the homepage background to increase contrast and make the widget boundaries clearer.

    I agree - too much white space.
    When adding notes to clients or jobs the save button is virtually hiding!
    See attached screenshot - too much white. Where has all the green gone as I much preferred it.

    Great to be getting all this detail on small changes that would make a big difference for you managing clients in your practice.

    We have hundreds of duplicate contacts since the new Beta version of XPM commenced. It would be great to be able to merge them.

    Ability to merge contacts would be great. We can then have 1 contact across all of their client group - rather than up to 20 which is the case at the moment for some of our clients.

    Thanks for all the engagement and sharing how valuable this feature is to managing your clients with Xero.

    I understand the desire for another update and am pleased to share that this is something our product teams will be addressing and are working on developing within the new unified client experience.

    With the soon to come Xero Partner Hub we'll be bringing all your practice tools under one umbrella and improving your experience in managing and working with clients in your practice. With the combined experiences of Xero HQ and Practice Manager this'll include the ability to merge two clients into one, like you're after here 🙂

    Hi everyone, we appreciate you taking the time to share how important more flexible payroll permissions are for your teams.

    It's clear that having granular control over who can access different parts of payroll would make a real difference to how you manage timesheets and leave approvals, as well as restrict access to other sensitive areas.

    From research, Payroll is definitely an area we know needs more permission controls for varying roles. This is something our product teams are beginning to explore and do deeper research of. We'll keep you updated as we make progress, and we're grateful for your continued input.

    We all do not need to know when a client's employee has changed their bank account details. As administrator of an accounting practice this is very annoying and we should be able to nominate who receives these emails.

    Hi everyone, thank you for sharing your feedback on the Employee Contact Details report.

    In 2024, this report was updated to include date of birth and age. We’ve noted the suggestions to include start and end dates as well.

    Adding further details to this report is not on our current roadmap. As a result, we are moving this request to 'Not in Pipeline.'

    We appreciate your continued ideas and feedback, and we will let you know if our priorities change.

    It's very time consuming to work through all employee records to find their start dates - especially when you have over 50 employees.
    A report which would state their start dates would be very helpful.

    We’ve reviewed this idea and we certainly see the benefits it would deliver, so we're updating this idea to Accepted.

    Employees cannot enter the number of kilometers to be claimed back in timesheets. A fix is to use the unit Hours instead of Kilometers. However in the Xero Me app they are only allowed to enter up to 24 Km (hours).
    More than 24 units are allowed to be entered directly into Xero but not through the Xero Me app.

    Hi everyone, further to our last post I wanted to provide another update for our US customers as we now have a bill payments solution powered by Melio! Xero has acquired Melio, a leading US bill pay platform designed specifically for small and medium-sized businesses, and accountants and bookkeepers in the US. While we value our partnership with BILL, we decided that acquiring Melio was the right strategic move to accelerate our ability to provide a seamless, integrated payments solution within Xero for our US customers. Powered by Melio, you can securely pay bills online, directly from Xero.

    As previously shared in the UK customers can now pay overseas suppliers easier with international bill payments, saving the need to use multiple platforms and savings in fees. Whether you're paying a single bill or multiple bills at once.

    Hi everyone, thanks for showing your interest here. We've been looking into your requests around Document packs, however want to be upfront that right now, editing sent packs is not on the immediate roadmap.

    We appreciate you providing more details on the exact scenarios where being able to edit a sent pack would be most helpful. It provides a good picture of the specific problems you're facing, which will help us explore various solutions in the future.

    Just to clarify, when you say ‘duplicate a contact’ would this be; the ability to duplicate an entire client (including all its contacts), to duplicate a contact within an existing client, or duplicate a contact from one client to another?
