    Hi everyone, right now the only way to edit a cover page in Xero is when you're publishing the report template. 

    Then you can change the Title, Date and Prepared by options. To further change the cover page, you can export the report template to a PDF file and customise it using a PDF editor. This would also be an option for editing the page numbers


    We made some changes in Report styles for our new reports in 2021, though this is only for practice users - They now have the option to choose from four font sizes, and can add a text watermark to exported draft and published reports. 


    We don't have plans to develop this functionality further in Xero atm, but we'll keep you updated if our plans change.

    Would be great if there were more options to edit it. Currently the format of having "Financial Statements" in big bold letters as the header and then "Client Name" in small type underneath that is a bit backwards, the clients name should be the most prominent text.

    Would be nice to make the cover page look a bit more professional.

    Would be great if Auditors using the Read Only user role could be given access to the Files Library as this is where both the client and accountant can upload documents so that everyone has the same access to them without having to email these to several different people.

    Hi team, we want to acknowledge your feedback and the needs you’ve expressed for being able to view the transaction line description in the account transactions report.

    While we appreciate not the news you’re hoping for here - we want to be honest with you all that there are no plans at this stage to change the behaviour of this report.

    We appreciate there can be some confusion of what is shown as it does differ based on the account and the line’s origin. We have added detail within our Xero Central article, but I’ve also noted below for ease of reference.

    • For accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank accounts, and tax account, it shows the contact’s name.
    • For all other accounts, it shows the contact’s name and the item line description.
    • As manual journals don’t have contacts, it shows narration and description.
    • For wage payments, Payroll Employee displays in…

    Would really love to see this report more useful - client has 40 odd credit cards they would like to run a transaction report on each credit card and actually see the description that the credit card holder has put on the transactions, not just "payment: Quest Hotel".

    Currently they run 3 different reports and then use a vlookup formula in excel!!

    A report that shows the total amount of an invoice and then the amount owing at a certain date.
