Hi everyone, we thoroughly appreciate all the feedback we've heard from our customers on their use of the Xero network and the importance this is for helping you move efficiently when using new invoicing. Where possible we highly encourage setting up and using eInvoicing as a solution which is wider reaching than just those businesses on Xero, and has more functionality.
In it's current state you can continue to send invoices using the Xero Network from the Awaiting payments list. That said, we've been listening closely and our product team are now considering development to incorporate sending invoices from Xero to Xero within new invoicing, as well as developing on this feature to enable attachments to be included when sending. We'll shift the idea to Under review for now and I'll share as there is more progression of this to update you on.

Appreciate your input here, everyone. Our team is aware of the challenges our partners are facing around the auto-reversal of negative balance. It’s on their roadmap to investigate and provide a better user experience.
For the time being, I’ll move this idea into ‘Under review’ status. And when there's movement, we'll make sure to come back here and let you all know.Lisa Dickson supported this idea · -

An error occurred while saving the comment Lisa Dickson commentedAfter yet another Saturday lost migrating old reports to new ones, I am so annoyed I feel I have to vent again.
I hate these reports (and unsurprisingly Xero bills).
My clients hate these reports (and unsurprisingly Xero bills).
From the feedback in your community and in other accountant groups I am in, the majority of other users hate them too.
What have you done? What a mess.
This is a massive backwards step in terms of the beautiful user interface we had, readability and useability.
I find I have to export them now to a google sheet because they are so much harder to read on a screen than they were before when you have lots of data for bigger and more sophisticated clients.
I get that we are stuck with these new reports.
So please fix them.
They are too big, too ugly and font is awful. New reports and new functionality - should look more like the old reports which seenilgly most people liked.
You have common formats - great. Now please create a template overlay that we can use to rebuild our old reports in the new format, one that applies to all common formats. Instead of having to manually recreate them for every common format - just like they worked in the old reports. .Every new account code has to be manually moved in every template. Seriously?
You have the old report converter - great. I've used that and converted most reports over - but these new reports are limited. These don't work properly with the date range selectors. The columns are not dynamic. Monthly reports can't be changed to quarterly or yearly for a different view. You have to copy the converted report and manually change the date ranges and save as a new custom report for the different date range.
As for the wrapping of account names which creates even more ugly reports. I have no words.
These look basic. Childlike and amateurish. I am embarrassed to show them to my clients.
I'm tempted to invoice Xero for the insane amount of time I am wasting rebuilding all these reports and the amount of time trying to help clients come to grips with these awful changes.

Hi everyone, thanks for the interest in this idea.
As you can appreciate, user roles span across the entire Xero product so there’s many combinations of permissions our customers want to see us build. Specifically, our reporting product team is very much aware of the challenges with the current permission sets relating to sharing individual reports with different users and are beginning to look into how we might be able to alleviate some of these reporting challenges.
However, at this stage it’s far too early to anticipate or confirm any direction on where this discovery work will lead, but it will inform our next steps. Additionally, as I'm sure you can appreciate there are sensitivities of data access and security. Creating upgrades to user permissions will need very careful consideration. As most will be across, the reporting team are leading up to retiring older versions of Xero’s reports on 31…

Hi community, we appreciate this idea has collected a fair amount of votes and commentary. This has all been shared with, and considered by, our product team - so they have an understanding of the work that would be required for this.
We'd like to confirm that, at this stage, the automatic generation and sending of reports is not something we have plans to develop in the near term. We are still interested to get a clearer understanding of demand for this feature, and we'll continue to track this through the conversation and votes on this idea. If there's any change we will let you know!
An error occurred while saving the comment Lisa Dickson commentedIt would be great to be able to set up a standard report that could repeat on a monthly or weekly basis.
I would like to be able to run a report that gives the client a weekly update of certain KPI's and sends that report to their inbox.
One particular use case might be to let cash accounting clients know how much cash they have received this quarter to date - and how much cash they should put aside in a separate VAT account.

Really important - I want to be able to send these to clients without dates as I use a different singing tool and send other supporting documents for a full end of year accounts pack.
