Hi community, we understand your needs in this feature and want to assure you were taking on board all your feedback.
As many of you accustom to this idea will know, multiple addresses requires a complex solution. It's been something we’ve been moving towards for some time and we’ve done a lot of back end work that will allow us to bring it to you in the future.
We have 12 different products within Xero that rely on contact data, as well as many of our app partners. This means that contacts need to seamlessly flow across technology, products and all connections on Xero. And that’s exactly what we’ve been working on.
One of the reasons we announced the retirement of classic invoicing is because many of the features being asked for, just can’t be brought into classic invoicing. The old technology has too many technology limitations to enable this.…

The language in the April 24 community manager response is clear, it's something "they want to work towards", not are working on. They "need to be able to build", not are building.
Between April and September they were "focused on prioritising" something else, i.e. not this.

It had 679 votes and 701 replies. Xero added the ability to have one (!) shipping address on a contact in June 2020, declared the feature request 'Done' and said "I appreciate this isn’t quite the functionality that some here we’re seeking..."
So I wouldn't hold your breath 😐

Hi everyone, thanks for your interests and sharing on the idea here. Being totally open, we don't have plans in the near term for any change that'd solve for the idea here. This may be something we consider down the line and will keep the idea here open to continue monitoring.
For the time being, we wanted to share a way you can remove links from the customer statement using a custom branding theme that you'd apply when sending a statement.
Once the new branding theme is created, you can select it when printing or sending the customer statement, and the invoice link will be removed.

Hi everyone, we appreciate wanting to hear from us on this idea and apologies for not commenting sooner. I can assure you this has not gone unnoticed and internally there have been reviews and discussions for how batch payments can be improved. We have the appetite, but as with all developments this must be weighed up and considered against many other important changes needed in product.
We want to be upfront that developing the ability to include Credit notes in Batch payments has not been planned at this stage.
As some may have seen, we do have work going on around being able to include Credit Notes as part of the reconciliation process. We understand for many on this idea the timing of including credit notes when you’re creating the batch payments is crucial, however we hope that when delivered at least being able to reconcile these more efficiently…

Hey community, thank you for your continued interest in this idea.
Wanted to provide an update here as it's been a while since we last spoke to duplicate contacts.
I do understand that, at face value, this seems like a quick fix. However, as the contacts screen interacts with many other parts of Xero, this work can not commence until the modernisation of other, related systems is complete.
Due to this, we do not expect support for duplicate contacts to be delivered in the coming short-term.
In the meantime however, we're keen to continue collecting feedback and votes on this idea, and I will update you here as soon as there's more work to share.

Thanks for sharing and showing interest in how we can develop user roles to suit your needs when using Xero.
With many varying ideas for roles and permissions in different areas of our products, user roles impact all areas of the product. There are many factors we must consider when addressing how to solve for majority of our customers needs.
We’re in the process of conducting research on the current landscape and how we might approach some of the most predominant needs in roles for our customers. This being one of our highest voted ideas surrounding roles is a specific focus for the team. too.
Discovery of this work is its first stages and will be long running. There will be multiple phases of research and forms of engagement with users that’ll help shape the path ahead in this space.

Hey community, 👋 thanks for all your support on this idea, I’m pleased to let you know that this has been delivered for UK Payroll initially! It includes the ability to select the date range you’re interested in, and check boxes to either select all results or multiple. Then you can download your selection as a single PDF of multiple payslips.
For users in AU and NZ we know this is a highly anticipated feature, however to be open this is not any immediate plans for those teams so we’ll leave this idea open. While we appreciate it doesn’t help employers needing bulk downloads, employees can be invited into the Xero Me portal to self-serve payslip collection.

The most recent status was 'Under Consideration', however the most recent Xero response was in Jan 2021, where they said "...there's no plans in the foreseeable future... that's not to say it will never happen, it's just not in the scope of work currently."
After so many years, I have a feeling it will never happen 😐
I stopped offering Xero to most clients in 2018, then stopped altogether a couple years later. Micro businesses/PSCs use FreeAgent, everyone else with greater size/complexity is on Quickbooks. Recently some have gone to Sage.
This issue, the (lack of) duplicate contact names, and the credit note problem, are significantly inconvenient and time-consuming.
