Hey team, thanks for all your feedback it clearly explains why monthly entry can be a poor fit for organisations that plan annually.
Our new Budgets experience is in early access, and supports defined start and end dates and longer planning horizons. While annual target entry and automatic spreading across months aren't within the initial release, we have plans for adding more complex formulas for adjustments and populating your budget values. I'll come back to share more as this work progresses.

Hi community, we appreciate hearing how focused reports without unrelated accounts would be useful for different budget owners.
We've recently released early access of our new Budgets experience, that brings a more flexible grid and filters.
That said, it doesn’t currently provide a way to hide selected accounts from budget reports. We’ll keep listening to feedback here for future reporting and permissions improvements.

Hi team, with Xero Analytics you can use the Business Health Scorecards to track your net profit against a KPI line.
You can choose a pre-built KPI, or create your own, and assign a target to track against that KPI.
If you'd like you can also, display this as a widget on your Analytics dashboards, to visually compare your KPI to the target line.
We appreciate those that have voted here are also looking for the ability to rack actual v budget and will continue to track the interest here and share further updates. Thanks

Hi team, we appreciate the feedback here. Right now, we're in the process of rolling out a new manual journals experience to users, and I'm pleased to share that this also includes the ability to copy a row, which will add a duplicate row beneath the one being copied. Along with this you'll have the ability to Paste lines detail that's been copied elsewhere 🙂
Currently, this experience has been rolled out across AU, NZ and US and will be coming to all other regions soon. I'll round back to confirm once it's out to all.

Thank you for sharing this idea and letting us know that a reference option would be desirable in manual journals. We’re moving it to Gaining Support so other customers can show their interest in the request. We’re also gradually rolling out a new Manual Journals experience. Considering using two tracking categories in Xero to track departments and funds - but being unable to report on budgets for these categories without tons of manual input is a dealbreaker - time to look around for another system I think

We’ve seen your feedback on Budget Manager—thanks for sharing it. A 9-month actuals option could support quarterly forecasting.

Thanks for sharing your idea for a dropdown to switch between the detailed and summary versions of the Aged reports.
We've reviewed your idea and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Along with votes, other members can now comment to share additional detail about how your idea could improve their experience with Xero.
In the meantime, did you know that you will find the detail/summary version of the report listed in the Related reports section of the left hand panel when running a report?

Hey everyone, we know it can be tricky when you're managing lots of client accounts and need a way to easily tell them apart in Xero.
Thanks for your feedback on how a visual cue, like being able to set different colours for each organisation, would help cut down on confusion and those accidental data entries.
We've seen some of you have found workarounds, like using Chrome extensions or third-party Google add-ons for customisation. It's great to see the community finding creative ways to tackle this in the interim.
Right now, adding this feature isn't in our immediate plans. This is something we'll continue to keep an eye on the support for and may reconsider in future planning. I'll share if there are any updates around this here.

Hi everyone, thanks for sharing how a detailed Profit and Loss report could support your workflow.
Atm, the Account Transactions report can be run grouped and filtered by Account, which could then be exported to Excel for further sorting and analysis. While we appreciate it takes a few steps, it can give you the transaction-level detail you’re after.
Alternatively, clicking on any figure in the Profit and Loss report will take you directly to the corresponding Account Transactions report, showing the individual transactions that make up that total.
Our product team has moved this idea to Not in pipeline, meaning it isn't on the foreseeable roadmap. However, the idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to monitor community interest as we plan for the future.

I'd LOVE to be able to run a detailed Profit and Loss for a particular tracking category rather than exporting a P&L to Excel, then multiple transaction reports to Excel and fiddling about with them for reporting to interested parties.

Hey everyone, thank you for all your feedback. We’re on a long journey to provide more granular access and controls within Xero features that our customers need.
As you may have seen in some of our recent updates across other user roles ideas we’re currently in the process of adding more permissions within Reporting and Inventory. Further to this our research has highlighted Payroll and Banking as areas that more controls are most needed, and are on our agenda as we continue to develop permissions and access to features.
Your feedback here and through direct engagements with our teams have been extremely insightful, and we appreciate all your inputs.
I'll continue to provide updates on the development of roles for features as we progress.
