Thanks for your contributions and voting on this idea, community. While we're seriously taking on board your feedback for how and why being able to hold selections across pages would be helpful when processing batch payments, we want to be open that this isn't a focus area for product at this time.
We'll continually reassess ideas where there's opportunity, so please keep adding your votes and interest, here. If there's any development planned we'll be certain to share this with you all.

We thank you all for sharing in the idea here, and understand there are many permissions that our Xero customers would like to provide on a more incremental basis. As you'll all know access to bank accounts is available to users with Adviser, Standard or limited access to those with Read Only roles - You can see more of the breakdown in our article here
With much of the teams resource drawn to work on the platform that'll continue to help us with the 'building on beautiful' experience for our customers we want to be upfront that there are no direct plans for altering the user permissions in this space just yet.
User roles and individual permissions within a bank account will be in the limelight once much of the platform upgrades are complete, but this is some way off atm. We'll return to share when there's any…

a. A user should be able to build customer batch deposits that include an overpayment and/or refund without having access to see the Bank accounts (balances)
b. The ability to enter bills, but not execute payment on those bills. Enter checks, but not execute payment on those checks and not be able to actually print checks.
c. Ability to restrict visibility to account balances and ability to update vendor information with this role, above, as well.
d. The ability to limit user access to only certain bank accounts (would be nice to choose user access by bank account) -

It is important to our users to have the ability to complete a batch deposit that includes customer overpayments and/or refunds. Currently these transactions cannot be included while creating the batch deposit. We understand you can add these during Reconcile but our organizations may resource creating the batch deposit and performing the reconcile with two different people. This is because they do not want the person creating batch deposits to have access or viewing permissions to the bank accounts.
