234 votesHi team, we appreciate all the feedback this idea has received over time. With our reimagined navigation this is something our product teams considered closely, however there is a bit of work involved to achieve what's being asked and we want to be open it's not in the roadmap right now. However, we're keeping a pulse on the feedback here and will be sure to share if there's any progress. Thanks

Hi everyone, thank you for your continued feedback. We appreciate you sharing how important selecting multiple employees is for you when running payroll reports.
The good news is our product team has reviewed this idea and agrees it is a valuable addition to Xero. We have updated the status to Accepted.
This feature is not currently on our immediate development roadmap, however by accepting it we are formally adding it to our backlog for consideration.
We will keep tracking interest here and update you as soon as we have news.

Hi everyone, thanks for taking the time to explain how important this functionality is to upload files to leave requests.
We're currently exploring ideas to attach files to employee records, however our product team confirmed that attaching files directly into leave requests is not something we're focusing on at the time. We’ve moved this idea to Not in pipeline.
We know this isn't the update you were hoping for, but we want to be transparent about where things stand. The idea remains open for votes, so we'll continue monitoring community interest and feedback as we plan for the future.

Hi everyone, we hear your feedback about how viewing quantity within the General Ledger report could help when reviewing transactions. While not specifically within the General Ledger there are a few different reports that can currently be run and may help with this review;
- Inventory Item Details – view quantity on hand of tracked inventory items
- Inventory Item Summary – see quantities purchased and sold for all items, including opening, closing, and adjusted quantities for tracked items
- Sales by Item report – shows quantities sold for inventory items
- Payable Invoice Details report – shows quantities purchased for all line items
- Receivable Invoice Details report – shows quantities sold for all line items
We’ve reviewed this idea but want to be upfront that there aren’t plans in the near term to add quantity as a column to the General Ledger Detailed report.
We’ll keep an eye on the interest this idea…

Hey Community, thanks for all the support shown for this idea. We understand that the core of this request is for business owners and payroll admins to be able to view, edit and complete draft timesheets.
Our product teams have carefully considered this, however we want to be upfront that developing this capability isn't on our foreseeable roadmap at this time.
The idea will remain open for votes so we can continue to gauge interest, as it will be important for when we next review our payroll priorities. Thanks again for sharing with us here, we really do value your input.

Hi everyone, we appreciate you taking the time to share how important more flexible payroll permissions are for your teams.
It's clear that having granular control over who can access different parts of payroll would make a real difference to how you manage timesheets and leave approvals, as well as restrict access to other sensitive areas.
From research, Payroll is definitely an area we know needs more permission controls for varying roles. This is something our product teams are beginning to explore and do deeper research of. We'll keep you updated as we make progress, and we're grateful for your continued input.

Hi everybody, coming across from the previous forums we know this idea has a lot of interest.
There is a way of using Xero's reports to accomplish what you're asking here and save the format so you can easily access and send this report to your customers outside of Xero.
Running the Aged Receivables detail report you can choose how many ageing periods you'd like to show and set the period to '30 days'. Simply Filter the report by Contact and Update to run.
- Once you've got it set up, save as Custom so you can easily access this format anytime
- If you deal with groups of contacts this also means you could Filter for multiple contacts to combine the view into one report rather than multiple customer statements 🙂
- Export the report to PDF, where you can send to customers from your email system outside of Xero
We appreciate…

I agree with all the other accountants here. The ageing table is something that most other programs do or at least have the functionality to add in an advanced template.
This feature is highly requested and common practice.
Sending a statement should not involve printing custom internal reports.

I agree. I have a client that has recently moved to Xero Payroll. Their previous payroll software allowed the client to view the employee draft timesheets and track their hours. This ensured employees weren't completing too many hours. On a large agricultural property where employees are not always in sight, this is crucial. Currently my client now has to wait until the timesheets are posted to see the hours for the previous pay period.
