Hi everyone, thanks for your continued feedback. To be upfront, we do not have any planned work to change how non-reportable allowances are processed at this stage. Currently, you need to use a reimbursement pay item to process these allowances. Our product team has confirmed that this remains a compliant solution with the ATO.
However, we hear you. We know that relying on reimbursements involves workflow challenges. While it's not on our immediate roadmap, we will continue to monitor your feedback and will update this thread if anything changes.

We appreciate you taking the time to help us understand the benefit of being able to choose which fields are mandatory on the client profile in Practice Manager, especially where practices need more consistency in the information collected for different client types and workflows.
We’re moving this idea to Gaining Support so we can continue to track interest and better understand how this would help practices in day-to-day use. If this capability would improve your workflow, please add your vote and share more detail about which fields you’d want to make mandatory and why.
Your feedback helps our team understand the problem and shape future improvements.

This is extremely important function that we need to be able to record non reportable allowances.
If i am to use reimbursements I am unable to report how many eg. OT Meal Allowances I wish to pay for a long distance truck driver. The employee expect that they would see 4 x Allowance amount.
Thank you for reading and appreciated that this tool would assist a number of our clients.
