Account Transaction report - Add Quantities & Unit Price to Column Drop Down
It would be incredibly helpful if 'Quantities' & ' Unit Price' were included as column options in the Account Transactions report.
This way one can quickly review the quantity & price of each entry without having to drill down into each individual entry. It would also provide a total quantity and average unit price for the given period.
The example that I am referring to is on a farm business where we would like to review the tonnes of crop sold and the price.
Thanks for all the valuable feedback you’ve shared through this idea. We get how adding Quantity and Unit Price columns to the Account Transactions report would help you with transaction reconciliation, and provide clearer insights, without the need of opening individual transactions.
Being upfront this isn’t in our team’s roadmap, however the idea will remain open for voting. Your input continues to shape our understanding of what’s most important, and we’ll keep sharing your feedback with the product team as they assess and plan for the future.

This would be a highly valuable addition to the Account Transactions report and is critical for operational and commercial analysis.
Including ‘Quantity’ and ‘Unit Price’ as selectable columns would allow users to review both volume and pricing at a glance, without needing to drill into individual transactions.
From a practical perspective, this is particularly important in sectors such as agriculture, where performance is assessed on both tonnes sold and price achieved. The ability to see total quantities and average unit price over a period would significantly improve reporting efficiency and decision-making.
At present, extracting this information requires manual workarounds, which is time-consuming and increases the risk of error.

The Account Transaction Report is probably one of the most used reports to be able to run on various codes, tracking categories etc and runs across all transaction types. Unfortunately the QTY column is not an option that can be selected to show in the report. Our invoices and bills are entered with the QTY's so that we can reports on hours worked (labour hire), fuel, hire machine hours etc however this cannot pull through to this report.
Seems silly that you can enter this information however it is hard to then be able to run a report on this. I ask that the QTY column please be added to the account transaction report please. Thanks -

In Xero, quantities exist in a quantum state.
You can observe them on an invoice.
You can observe them in inventory reports.
But try to observe them in the General Ledger and the wave function collapses. -

Seems like such an easy win when the data is already there, please prioritise.
Would have many uses - fuel litres, livestock sales, etc.

We require the quantities field to be added to the Account Transactions Report for fuel tax calculations on quarterly BAS.
Our client has the base subscription and does not want to upgrade to the next one just to add fuel receipts and quantities under bills. Our client currently reconciles from the bank transactions and enters as spend money.

I am going to raise a case for this, perhaps everyone who wants this to happen can do the same to help push this to the top of the list! Ridiculous that we cannot run a report that includes all sales and purchase whether via invoices, bills, spend/receive money with item number, quantity and unit price.

The original idea dates back to 2022!! And still no solution from Xero? What's going on - why is this so difficult?

Add the quantity field as one that is reportable in all of the available reports alongside description etc to enable the tracking of how many litres of diesel purchased when account is reconciled. The accountant is having to manually open every transaction to see the amount of litres used to determine fuel tax credit. To combat that, when reconciling, I changed the 1 qty of dollar value to the qty of litres and the cost per litre so that they could easily report, without manipulation, how many litres of diesel have been used. Although there are many fields that would seem to add no value in a lot of cases, the quantity field is not reportable. Could this please be turned on. All suggestions provided by Xero support were work arounds that would increase processing time greatly and seems unnecessary when the field is there with the data we need, just not selectable when running any report.

Feature Request – Add Quantity Column to Account Transactions Report
Hi Xero Team,
Please consider adding the option to include a Quantity column in the Account Transactions report.
This has been a long-standing issue for many users — especially those needing to track fuel quantities for tax credit claims. Entering quantities in description fields or setting up fake inventory items is not a sustainable or logical workaround.
The quantity field already exists in the transaction — we simply need the option to include it in the report.
Please count this as a vote in support of this much-needed improvement.
This is a basic feature needed for compliance and accurate record-keeping — especially for things like Fuel Tax Credits. Please treat this as a serious request for improvement.

Please add these colums to the report options. This is essential for drawing down reporting information from our bills.

How is this not an option?! There's a quantity box in every invoice and bill yet no option to show quantities in a simple transaction report? Please add this feature, so simple yet so helpful...
