Hi Gareth, appreciate your feedback on new Xero Workpapers here. Atm, you can refresh the pack after making template changes for them to pull through.
It'd be good to get more understanding of the scenarios in which you'd like to delete packs - For example when or why you'd want to delete packs and the sort of users you'd want to allow to delete packs to help us better assess your idea here. Thanks!

We've reviewed your idea and moved it to Gaining Support and now it's up to the community to get behind and support it. Hi team, we appreciate your feedback as you get stuck in to trying our our new Workpapers. Our team have been monitoring feedback closely and I'd like to share that we're in the process of developing a GST Workpaper in our new solution. We'll be back to share once it's released. 😊

Wow the GST workpaper is seriously undercooked - how does one show the GST return filed at the IRD and then align back to the GL balance if there is no consistent area for these workings, and then showing adjustments etc since.

Appreciate the feedback and hearing what information would be most useful for you on the new Xero Partner Hub homepage.
This is something our product team have eyes on for the longer term but there are a few other pieces of work lined up first.

As someone that reviews annual accounts all day, coming into the new financial year, being able to show the clients which assets had investment boost claimed on them would be invaluable, and moreso as a reviewer in that I can make sure that it has been claimed by cross referencing purchases with investment boost, along with making sure that its been appropriately claimed as well on new or new to NZ assets.

Hey team, thanks for all your input on partial asset disposal.
We understand that manually managing parts of an asset can be time-consuming. While we don't have plans at this time to develop a built-in feature, your feedback's really helpful in showing us where things could improve.
For now, manual methods to calculate depreciation and record journal entries to keep things accurate would be the best option.
However, this is a feature that we'd like to revisit as we plan our future roadmaps, and will be happy to share if there is any traction around this. Please keep sharing this idea with any colleagues you feel could benefit from this too.

Given that the asset module has been brought over to the, well, I call it the Xero 2.0 platform, that is supposed to be able to have changes rolled out more rapidly, along with the work that is much needed for dealing with the investment boost initiative that came in this year, it is the perfect opportunity now for Xero to pull finger and sort this. Every other major accountants platform can handle this and has done for over a decade at least.

on the asset register we sometimes record revaluations of land and buildings - more often than not, the valuations increase, but sometimes there is a devaluation of land & buildings. It looks untidy to dispose of a valuation year and then re-record a new valuation when we could just adjust a single line for revaluation up or down in the FAR (That way I also don't end up with five lines for revaluation on the asset register either) so conversely as well as partial disposal, partial increases?

Hi team, we've been listening to your feedback and understand just how important it is to have an efficient workflow when preparing workpapers.
As you may have heard, we've been working on a brand new Workpapers solution. This is a complete overhaul of our Workpapers offering, and we're thrilled to confirm that linking to the prior year's archived workpaper pack is on the roadmap.
The new solution will include direct and seamless navigation between years, providing a link from the current year's workpaper pack to the previous year's archived pack for the same client. This'll save you significant time, making your compliance and review workflows much smoother. We're phasing the rollout, starting with Australia, with a global expansion to follow. I'll keep you updated here as this release widens.

Hi community, we understand wanting to hear from us around improvements for workpapers and we have some good updates coming with our new Workpapers solution!
Some of the key enhancements you'll find in the new solution include; roll forward, direct ledger integration, granular user roles, and better collaboration tools. Once live to all we intend to continue iterating and adding enhancements to this new product.
We've started release to our Australian partners now, with plans to release to to all regions in the new year.

Need to create our own workpapers for things like Quality Assurance and NZ companies office which don't sync through to Xero but need to be completed as part of the job process.
